Loved watching Sterling play in this tournament, he has been a breath of fresh air and our best player without a doubt. Hopefully the Euros will give him confidence and he will come back in pre season fully fired up and raring to go for a new season with City

A breath of fresh air for sure, and something he definitely needed.

He is doing very well, and i suspect he much prefers playing in this team than ours as the set up is made for his presence.
He can express himself, and play to his strengths,in the comfort he has 7 defenders to cover his shortcomings,a luxury he doesn't get in our team and hence why his lack of control, and ball retention, often causes issues in respect of the opposition breaking.

Best player? No - Stones,Shaw and Maguire have all been better.

As for coming back and tearing it up here.....as long as Pep favours possession based/technical football, then he will still look something of a fish out of water.

I would hope all our players come back well rested are raring to go. The question is how will we set up and are Foden and Mahrez, and even Grealish be better technically.

He’s been our best player by a mile mate, it’s not even close.

Might be good idea to sell him while his stock is high. If he wants to leave that is.

If England win the euros with Sterling playing a big part, would city still consider selling him? Not saying city are considering it atm. But just a curious thought on a hypothetical situation.

He hasn't,he is up there, but our defenders have been the standouts - Shaw has probably been the best of the three over the last two games.
Shaw has been terrible the best thing he did in the group stages was get kicked in the head, fair do to him for being brave, and he has kept going got some assists and deserved praise but GOOD is pushing it a bit, just my opinion though.

Everybody at City has a price just like all clubs Sterling`s price just went up that is all, they only have to find a club to pay up.

Over the past 4 seasons in the league alone Sterling has contributed 94 goals and assists in 131 games under Pep.

I don’t think there has ever been a period under Pep when he hasn’t favoured possession based/technical football, so you’re assertion that Sterling cannot play in a Pep side in nonsense.

I agree with anyone who argues that Sterling didn’t have a great season last year. However, for context, he still got more goals and assists combined than Foden and Grealish who both had outstanding seasons.

IMO, the issue with Sterling is simple. Play him alongside a top class forward like Kun or Kane and he’s a top class player. Play him in a system without a striker and he’ll struggle.

Luckily for us, we are looking to sign a top class striker. I can see Raz having a Stonesesque revival next season. We paired Stones with a top class player in Dias and look at the result. Time to do the same with Raz.

I haven't said that,i am saying he is struggling in this current variant.

He was great around 18/19 in a different set up,not so much this past 18 months.

The fact he looks a different player entirely in an England shirt backs this up.

Surely depends on whether Pep believes he has the necessary qualities for the style of play intended for next season. By that, I don't simply mean we have a central striker, but what qualities he would demand for playing in the position Sterling would occupy.
