You are right, a deal can be agreed and he can still have his holiday, come back and get his medical done etc.

But clearly the talks aren't as far down the line. It's just ITK talk for now that it's been sorted since months, or done, or idk imminent etc. All we know is we're interested, and the price he could be available for. Both Villa journos, the reliable ones say there haven't been talks yet, just interest, and our reliable journos are silent on it, only Sam Lee yesterday gave a vague answer saying it could be done quickly lol

Clearly? Sorry, but there's absolutely nothing 'clearly' about it. This is for either scenario BTW. We run a very, very tight ship nowadays and it looks like Villa do as well.

I hate this attitude. Nothing wrong with being confident and having unbreakable self-belief.

We already have too many meek softarses in our team, I want players whose heads won’t drop if we go a goal down or get shit refereeing decisions. I want players who won’t fucking hide if the crowd constantly goad them, or opposition players give them banter and abuse. I want a team of winners who will get stuck in, tell anyone to fuck off and do anything on that pitch to make sure City win at any cost.

Couldn't agree more. We could absolutely do with some arrogant/hard headed characters. It helps a lot in games.

Which of the boxes does he not tick to be a Man City player under Pep Guardiola?

Let me see, technical ability? Yes. Controlling the tempo? Yes. Carrying the ball in and out of tight spaces? Yes. Potential to improve further under Pep? Yes. Hard worker who doesn't shy from defensive work rate? Yes.

Carries himself well, confident, a good team player. But oh oh! Brummie accent! Diver! Arrogant! Come on. Really? Do you hate Raheem as well? Were you angry when he won England the penalty off a so called dive?

The more the merrier. Could always improve and find balance, nothing wrong with it.
 
Would like us to focus all efforts on Haaland, Grealish doesn't improve the starting 11 and imho we wouldn't even be considering him if he wasn't home grown.

Haaland can back it up as he is one of the greatest strikers (potentially the best) and a generational talent. Grealish is not, he would be a squad player and very expensive

Doesn't make any difference to the club if he's home grown or not. So that isn't why we are interested,If they ar spending that amount it's for playing reasons only.

This is a good point. There seems to be quite a bit of dry humour with Haaland which might earn him a pass from a lot of people but he's obviously got an ego.

I just don't think it's as cut and dry as some people make out.
