You need to get your head out of the clouds, this is not Roy of the rovers and footballers aren't all pining for the club they supported as a boy. You have no idea if haaland wants to join city, he may want to live in Munich, London, Madrid etc and that could be a major part of his decision making process. He may feel that he owes Dortmund another year. He might see Chelsea as a better proposition with a view to moving again in 3/4 years.

We may just as likely see he’s not quite the player we think he is when it comes to playing week in week out in the rough and tumble of the PL

At least with Kane we know exactly what we’re getting and what he can and has done .. and almost certainly what he’ll continue to do
