Vaccine passports to enter the ground?

So if you get stuck in traffic or your train or bus is late are you not getting in then? That could be fun, especially for people who travel a long way. All those cockney reds will be fuming if they make the trip up and miss their time slot!
It’s all smoke and mirrors. We had the staggered arrival times at matches in Scotland and no one took a blind bit of notice.

It is tick box mentality by the authorities.

Bear with me on this, it is just a random thought that came into my mind a minute ago so haven’t thought it right through: Is there some area of the ground that could be ‘cordoned’ off for the fans who GENUINELY can’t have the vaccine, to be seated? Are away fans allowed in next season? If not can they go there?
Back in the Spring when baseball started, there were sections for fans that were vaxxed and other sections for those that weren’t. I’ve just checked the Yankees website and as of June 18th, they received approval to resume normal Yankee Stadium seating capacity.
Also, as of 6/15/2021, proof of a negative COVID-19 test or full COVID-19 vaccination is NO LONGER required in order to attend games at Yankee Stadium.

Wouldn't seating all of the unvaccinated fans together be worse? It just means all of the people most likely to spread it are going to spread it more effectively. Unless the logic is that at least they're only spread it to other irresponsible people (which is a bit unfair on the people who can't have the vaccine for whatever reason).

Anyway, I can't believe the government has missed this opportunity. Spend a few billion on a specific biometric vaccine passport. That way everyone gets a shiny new card, and their mates get another juicy government contract. Win-win.

Talking to a rag ST holder earlier. As well as the phone ticket and proof of vaccination, they are getting allocated time slots to enter the ground too!
Yeah my mate told me this yesterday. If one team are pressing ahead with proof of vaccination you can bet the whole league will. Maybe City should have withheld releasing all those tickets yesterday. Gonna cause a lot of aggro refunding a load of season cards let alone thousands of single tickets

It sounds crap. He said it could be as early as 1pm too! Can you imagine being in the ground listening to our pre match entertainment with no bars open.
Whole thing is fucked. Attending Premier League games was getting worse for years with all the bullshit associated with it. Clubs desperate to tout tickets online to the rich and using terrorism as an excuse to stop fans passing tickets on to genuine fans at face value. They’ve got the perfect excuse now with this one. Allocated time slots would sum up the very contrived way top level English football has gone. Minutes applause for someone’s dead dog next season and terrible atmospheres at almost every ground.

If you’re a season ticket holder maybe you could just go to the ground on a non match day and have yourself added to a list or be given a pass or something once you’ve passed on your proof. Saves you having to prove it every single match day. You can’t get unvaccinated once it’s been done after all.

Tickets on phone was going to hold up the ticket lines but now with covid passports and allocated times..it’s going to be a long season if we aren’t winning on the pitch. Sounds like bedlam

Allocated entry times were given out for the Everton game but it was a complete fuck up with huge queues and no checks. No-one will be checking or stopping you getting in.

What about allocated leaving times ? I normally leave around the 70 minutes mark as I’ve got a bus to catch ? Not seen 90 minutes of football since 99 !

From what I understand, they were quite spaced out and weren’t sitting on top of each other and everyone was still required to mask up.

some slots to for the halftime beer & sandwich time. Lets say start running up those steps at 30 mins / 35 mins / 40 mins. Sorry if that upsets those that trog off on 28 mins.

I don’t mind an allotted entry time as long as it is early before the queues build up! However what about the supporters clubs who all travel by coach? Will they all be allocated the same time and who will sort that out? Just a thought. :-)

Cruise companies have always done that, else boarding would be complete chaos. They do not bother if you turn up outside your slot as the nubers that do have never caused any problems.

Loads of pop up centres now so if you want to go to the game could be worth just walking in on dinner and getting jabbed.

I actually dont think this will come into force and is just a measure to get the youngsters to drag themselves down to the centres.

I’m sure that there will be the usual rush at 2.45pm and it will overwhelm the staff. They won’t have a clue how to deal with it and I am sure they will just revert back to not checking anything before too long. I can see game one being a nightmare.

Its trial and error and I think as someone said previously it is a case of ticking boxes.
Neighbour just come back from Spain and they all boarded and left the plane orderly in row numbers and were then packed face to face onto two small buses to the terminal.
Same scenario on concourse/toilets etc at the game.
