i would rather have a player that trys to stay on his feet and ride tackles, thats what the greats in football actually do. Bell, Best, Messi, Marradona, Both Ronaldos and what is going to make Foden that little bit special aswell. Being good for winning lots of free kicks just seems a bit hollow to me.
There’s no way you’ve just snuck CR7 into a sentence about players riding challenges and not diving.

Remember when Neville did an entire MNF on Fernandinho fouls? I remember when he said refs need to be wary of it. Low and behold, refs started booking him all the time
Ye thats the one the Monday night one. Ye he got booked more, but the refs never started sending him off atleast.

The biggest influence it had was media constantly bringing it up. Nev included in that live on commentary calling every foul he made tactical while ignoring other players who were doing the same.

This made it a bigger thing as most football fans can't think for themselves and just take what the "expert" says as gospel.

No way he comes here now anyway as apparently he has let pep down twice including last season when allegedly we nearly had Kane in the bag and then Leo phoned pep saying he wanted to come so city changed to go all out for him and then he did a Kaka!
If true then we would have had a better chance of winning the champions league with kane here and kun injured. Agent Messi really screwed us, and affected our season by calling Pep. Messi comes across as a Douchebag.

Gundo was immense for us last season and has been since he joined us in different roles, you can't compare to Grealish who offers different attributes and plays in a different role. We are signing the best English footballer in the country with the possible exception of our own Phil Foden so if Arse can sign white for 50m I will happily pay 90ish for Grealish especially if we get a sizeable fee for Bernardo who has been very inconsistent for us overall.

I'm ok with that, i won't be hypocritical, he dives a lot, i hope we can stop that part of his game
I hate that aspect. But if we're playing lfc and they're getting away with handballs, pushes, offsides goals, Salah dives... Or Utd and their clearly excessive penalty awards I want Grealish doing that.

Fake not a diver? He is one of the biggest divers going.

A trait he learnt at the swamp under the tutelage of the pisscan.

I dont think hes as good as Sterling, KDB, Foden, Mahrez or Gundog. and we didnt pay anywhere near £100m for them.
There’s a lot of people at City that disagree with you.

Out of interest, have you had chance to read Sam Lee’s article in The Athletic that runs through his stats (not just goals/assists) and how he’d likely play at City? It’s quite an eye opener and shows you just how good he actually is.

Talk that EDS player Morgan Rogers is part of this deal (i.e. money + Morgan Rogers). I don't know a thing about him. Anybody seen him play?

(Got this off the West Brom forum. They're hoping there's a sell-on clause. Could be bollocks)

Cristiano doesn't dive?! Are you serious?

Can’t believe anyone would have a negative response to this potential signing (without seeing him pull on the shirt first) top player, good age, very marketable, decent numbers, and massive scope for improvement, I know he’s had a few misdemeanours but so have most of our English contingent. Don’t worry about the fee either, Pogbads figures in terms of fee, agents fees & wages will dwarf it, jeez even Sanchez would push it close (over a five year period) Also Can’t understand how you can compare how he played for a newly promoted slightly average Villa team facing relegation, in a cup final 18 months ago, he was playing against the country’s best team of the last decade who’ve dominated that competition. With him & Kane added it might also stop any potential for the PL (in conjunction with the rags) of increasing the homegrown/English quotas in match day teams/squads, they have definitely bought plenty of English players in the last few years and we are starting to outflank them with these signings
