Harry Kane wouldn't have given the green light, let a club pay 100m then change his mind last minute. City wouldn't have even considered him if that was the case. The worst thing for a club doing business is uncertainty, once you have a track record of it, clubs tend to steer clear.

No, but he signed a mega deal that has made a transfer away from Spurs much harder to bargain.

Yeah and he's paying for that now. But Spurs fans seem smarter than Villa ones. They accept that Kane is an elite player and Spurs aren't in a position to compete for major honours. There will not be an occasion where Villa fans would ever accept Grealish leaving

Why was anyone shitting themselves over this anyway? Did anyone actually read what he wrote? He said he was told by someone that Grealish was doing it for a new deal but he didn't hold much hope in it and didn't buy it personally. Then the Villa lot jump on that as he is deffo staying. And now he's deleted his account. It was bollocks to begin with.

To be fair he said that he put money on it (£20) and sort of encouraged others to do it. He was a bullshitter anyway, called one hail mary and built his reputation over it.

I guess with Grealish, he could stay. Try his hardest to win a trophy for them, get paid pretty well and retire as a club legend. Have bars named after him at VP and milk the gravy train until he dies.

Hes more likely to want to win some trophies and move, but look at someone like Dickov. One goal has paid for the rest of his life.
 
Notice SKY BET have suspended betting on him staying at Villa which is a little worrying
