Seasoncard - 2021/22

Thanks. I think there's stuff about proof of identity that's been in there for years as well so it wouldn't surprise me if they started asking for it randomly. So we can't leave our wallets at home after all ;)

Was photo ID required for the Everton game, and how likely is it that this will be the case for 2021-22?
The only photo ID I have is a expired passport from 2015 - I don't drive.

I was at everton game and no photo ID was asked for - the main issue and delay was that you had to put phone/screen with the digital ticket into the scanner like you do with plastic ST - it was a bit hit and miss and I tried a few times on different scanners and managed to get in 'eventually'.....I do predict some delays for first game as we get used to this....

I didn't get to that game so no idea. I doubt that they'll be asking for ID early on what with all the other difficulties there are going to be, and probably won't later, but it is in the Ts and Cs. The problem is, if there are loads going in on printed tickets that can be freely shared, then it makes no sense implementing the digital ticket because the main reason being stated is to stop ticket touting and the digital ticket does it to some degree by only allowing people to share with other registered fans (although you could still use a shared phone I guess).

I'm anticipating that I might access the ground by half time. Save us a pie and a Bovril.

Required but not checked at either checkpoint.

Tickets were scanned at perimeter (to check if the COVID declaration had been sent back) and at the gate, so won't be the same as then.

The big problem for me is that I will now have a card sized gap in my wallet. I'll either have to get another credit card or a Tesco loyalty card.

It’ll blow some minds on here, but all the supermarkets cards can also go in your Apple / Google wallet these days [emoji38]

Yes it was, how many were actually checked though? Probably not many
I was certainly never checked for photo id. It was as much as the stewards could do to get anyone into the stadium as the equipment did not work.

They also provide fobs and cards or both no questions asked. Why would anyone want to take a phone to the supermarket? They must be really important.
