Seasoncard - 2021/22

Sorry if I’m repeating anything said previously. I went to the stadium yesterday as I need to put my little ones tickets on my phone. Obviously they’ve got a supporter number but they needed an account creating. This sounds simple however because of their ages, 6 & 4, the system wouldn’t let me create an account for them. Also, their tickets are linked to my email address. The club can do an account for each of them though and did this yesterday. They had to then login to each account on my phone, assign them to separate email addresses and “add to wallet”. It took 5 minutes to do both but had to queue up for 2 hours to be seen!!! So, I now have all 3 season tickets in my phone wallet. Happy days. Hope this helps somebody.
Does that mean the only way to open an account for kids is by going to the stadium?

No I did mine via Supporter Services on twitter but only after an hour on the phone to them, a rant at the girl on the end of the phone, 6 angry tweets calling them out and a 2 hour wait for them to bother replying to my Direct Message (which they asked me to send)

Dipping in and out as it fries my brain in this thread, so hear me out and tell me if I’ve picked up enough clues from in here….

I can have my mobile ticket on my phone, and my son has his on his own phone. Simple.

We are away for a game, Arsenal in fact, so I can create a fake account on mancity.com then add “Bob Smith” to my family and friends.

Then I can get my old iPhone 6 out of the drawer and download the ticket on to that phone and then lend that phone to my mate to get into the ground?

Can I also download my son’s ticket to that phone as well? Or do I have to create a second fake account and do the same again?

OR do I need to do any of this shit at all and I can just switch the tickets for one game on to the iPhone 6 and give that to my mate to use for him and his son?

Thanks in advance to anyone that can advise me, lol.

I think (and its highly likely I could be wrong) 'Bob' might need his own supporter number which would mean he has to have his own email address and 'Bob's' owner may be relieved of £35 for the privilege.

As I said I could easily be wrong here

Anyone point me to the post where it covers off how to set up a free account on mancity.com so that I can add the new person to my friends and family?

Fairly easy then………

Cheers for the info about the Covid Pass.

When you get into the NHS app select DOMESTIC. You can put it in your wallet from there. It says on it that it’s only valid for England.

You can’t download the one through the TRAVEL section into your wallet, but you can save it as a pdf.

So, I’m not sure if our Scottish, NI and Welsh supporters’ domestic wallet pass is valid outside their borders or if they will need to use the travel pdf version.
I don't see that option so it may be dependant on whether one's NHS details are shared (which mine aren't), unless the method to load it into the wallet is hidden somewhere.

listen mate ive been trying a week to get info first it wouldnt let me sign into my account then i could but couldnt get access to the kids account now this shit with the tickets after another 2 hours on the phone ive seriously had enough of the fuckers.if any company had such poor customer service you would fuck them off and go somewhere else.unfortunatley its not something you can do with a football club and thats why they dont give a fuck.
@leithblue is bang out of order. I am still shown as Platinum despite 4 phone calls of many hours. I am beginning to think the £50 is nothing compared to my sanity. I was enrolled on monthly payments for the tram which again took countless calls to stop. I rang up to day to be told I was 51st in the queue so I gave up.
The club I loved from being a boy is turning into a monster that I am beginning to despise. All I see is greed mixed with incompetence and indifference.

Worked on my iphone12 through domestic option.
Just tried it on my work android, it doesn’t give an option to download it to Google Pay

Dunno if I opted to share data for research purposes and it looks like it’s a pain to change it just to check.

Ah that may be it, Apple only?

Because every single aspect of your life is then tracked. People are using it for bus tickets and other forms of transport. Eventually everything will be done through your phone. It's a perfect tracking device and as you have to have it with you at all times to function it's always on and with you. Every single thing you buy or do is recorded. In the future it will be a small chip in your hand or finger, even easier.
And that's a good thing? Another reason I don't want to use it is because it's yet another attempt to track me and there's simply no reason to do so or for me to allow it.

My physical ticket gets me in and the club know what entrance I've gone in and what time I entered. United were even using that small amount of data to contact fans who they identified as coming in late regularly. If City did that I'd report them to the ICO over improper use of my personal data. I asked the club about how the new system affected the data they held about me and got a non-answer answer.

I have a choice over how my personal data is used and my choice is not to share any more of that than I have to.

That very last paragraph is soooooo true PB.

Thanks mate, I’ve done it now. Set up 2 separate accounts and added them to friends and family, plus also managed to add 3 genuine people I know who don’t have season tickets to my account too. Good to go.

Jesus another comment about entitlement. My reply based on that was in response to comments that those of us who are opposed to it should "Stay at home." It's not entitlement it's called loyalty for supporting a brand ( club) that delivered shockingly bad service in its main function, which was entertaining winning football, for decades. However it's customer base( supporters) didn't jump ship to the supermarket( rags) down the road who were providing all that, we stayed loyal. Now our supermarket ( club) is successful it's telling it's loyal customers, "Hey times have moved on, sorry but that's business, we only want forward thinking people now, that little supermarket ( club) down the road though will take your money and let you buy and use a season ticket like you used to, have a nice day!" Okay a bit ott but you get my point. Why shouldn't people who've loyally supported a club for decades feel they deserve a bit of consideration on their viewpoint?

So phones don't get hacked? As more and more personal information is stored on them I'm sure it will become more prevalent. Again for you it might be simple to just go out and spunk another few hundred quid on a new phone that's compatible to let you live your life and have everything downloaded on it and ready to go in an hour, for others it isn't. Judging by the many questions on here about operating one function alone, downloading a seasoncard, that's the case for many not a few.

I've seen many changes over the years, hey our plastic seasoncard replacing the old book was forward thinking at the time. Over my lifetime I've also seen many changes as we all have and adapted so don't be so fucking patronising.

How is it better for the environment? How long does a phone or battery last before it has to be replaced? All that plastic used to build them, all the old phones going in landfill. One small plastic seasoncard could be wiped and used over and over I'm sure.

It has been rushed through instead of eased in and the club have gone back on their word that supporters who weren't happy with it could have a seasoncard, for this season at least. Hey but we'll let you print your tickets at home, you'll just have to buy a printer and some ink, much better for the environment.
Superb and spot on. Those that accept this are immune to what is happening here. When the majority on here started supporting our club we paid game by game with coins and the club didn't have a clue who would turn up nor what our names were. Even with Season Tickets and eventually Seasoncards, all they gleaned were our names, ages and where we lived. Now they want us to be a small part of some big business analytics experiment where it can only be a matter of time before our movements are tracked and no doubt our preferences noted. How long before the stadium is cash free and even card free and we are expected to be dictated to in what is offered for sale and how we pay.

In short, anyone on here who is naive enough to think our team gives a fuck about match attending fans anymore seriously needs to get a grip. We are becoming almost an inconvenience in our presence and administration and other than those that attend corporate it can only be another generation at most before we see screens around the stadium showing faces of global fans watching on PPV streams. We had a small glimpse during the pandemic of screens showing fans at home and you can almost guarantee that's where we will eventually head.

"Christ, fans at the stadium, that's just so yesterday" I can here the youth of tomorrow saying.

New question, lol.

Just tried to set up an account for my mate‘s 10 year old son however it won’t allow me to register him as says he’s not old enough when I put his date of birth in.

How the fuck am I supposed to transfer a ticket to him then?
