Harry Kane

Ornstein has been told by Daniel Levy. I mean you couldn't get anymore solid direct info if you tried. Yes city want it, kane wants it but we aren't meeting the valuation of the player.

From what it sounds like we've left the offer on the table incase they change their mind lol
If you say so

The fact we are loaded and can afford Kane is clouding a fair amount of blues monetary values. The more i think about this the more i think it's not prudent to invest the reputed 150-160M on Kane.

Ok we smashed the English domestic transfer record for Grealish but he is still only 25 and he should appreciate in value. Kane at 28 is not good value given his injury record, and I'd begrudge Levy the money he's asking. I think our owners should make a stance and politely tell Levy to go fuck himself before walking away. We have previously paid through the nose when we had to but we cannot continue to be bent over and shafted by avaricious clubs agents and players in future, especially with the global economic situation the way it is right now.

All reports suggest there are no alternatives.

Personally I would always prefer City to find a 'hidden gem' player or one who hasn't reached great potential who then turns into a legend. I know I'm in the minority but it does somewhat feel un-City like taking a ready made top player. Perhaps Tevez was the last 'ready made' top player we took?
Milner, Barry, Walker.....

I really don't think city should offer anything more than that. 100M+ 20/30 M add on is more than enough for kane. If levy doesn't want it he can fuck off. We should be looking for temporary plan B(if possible) before the window ends.

For the sake of the extra £20m or so we seem reluctant to increase our offer by I think we’ll regret it if we don’t. I don’t think we’ll win anything this season if we don’t sign Kane given how our rivals have strengthened since last season. We’d easily make that much back with another title, and probably the whole fee with a CL win.

The CL Final, Community Shield and performance against Spurs didn’t show any evidence that our finishing is good enough as we are.

Wait didn't all your "ITKs" say this was already done last thursday and they were waiting til after the game to announce lol

What a surprise respected journalists are more reliable than 'ITKs" with Vlahovic off to Atleitco and Martinez staying at inter, theres almost no chance this happens this summer..
Lol. So you’re happy forcing one of your own to reluctantly stay when he doesn’t want to play for you anymore and you can’t get rid of him because no one will sign for you. Classy. Enjoy your 3 points and conference league

Amongst all the flapping focusing on Levy I've gone on a tangent looking at the City side.

Pep is said to be adamant to want Kane. For all the people saying to leave it and go for someone else (and ignoring Haaland and Mbappe who are unobtainable don't @ me), look at the strikers hes had in his career.

He's started with Henry and Eto'o. Then he swapped Eto'o for Ibrahimovic. Then when Henry and Ibra left he got David Villa in who had scored 108 goals in 166 league games for Valencia. His first season at Bayern he had mandzukic and Muller but then a year down the line this clearly isn't good enough so gets Lewandowski. At City he obviously inherited Aguero.

The guy likes his high profile ready made strikers. I can't see us compromising on this position and either leaving it another year or getting another striker with only potential like Jesus.

I don't think City leave this until its done.

Agreed- It’s time City came out and publicly ended our interest.

Is that Kevin Webster on the right?

How reliable is Ornstein with City?
Not sure but just listened to the bit in the podcast where he talks about the 100M play add ons and it was literally just his opinion of what he thinks city will offer. No need to panic imo

Well well well.
I don't really want to share this as it isn't a big story but one of the dads from my lads football oversees the houses in Alderley Edge and surrounding areas, he's the gaffer for and goes out to any problems, all mostly thick footballers who cant flick a switch.
(He told me about Lingard who couldn't set the thermostat for his outside pool temp despite being shown 100 times)
He's said the estate agent who sorts out round there is coming back off his hols early as he's got an interested party for one of his houses. Didn't say who but said there are about 2 or 3 empty properties and that kane to city is the worst kept secret up there.

Interesting?

Not as good as your Bernardo / hotel ITKness the other week mate ;)

Why would Levy be holding Kane to ransom ? Kane signed a long term contract with Levy in good faith - unless City meet Levy's valuation then Levy is within his rights to tell Kane to honour his contract and to get on with it. No point in signing a contract if a player can want it waived when the first sniff of outside interest comes along.
That's certainly one side of the argument but equally having a longer contract helps the selling club maximise their revenue should they sell before the term is up. If, and it would seem that it may be the case, that Levy and Kane had an agreement then it puts a different slant on things.

In fairness, if you'd scrolled literally two posts down from the one you've replied to, you'd have seen that they posted the exact same tweet again but translated.
In fairness you read and respond to posts not reading further on, it is crap in here for all the twitter bollocks , out

So basically he's telling ornstien to tell potential selling clubs that spurs are not armed with cash to buy there players at inflated fees

Utter bollocks you paid £100m for Grealish and you don’t think 1 of the 3 best strikers in the world is worth more? Frankly it’s a pathetic offer if true.
