Harry Kane

How do you square that with "Sterling WILL be using that very argument to get the biggest pay increase he can." and the example I gave of De Gea?

I think it was Keiran Maguire's book where the United transfers of Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez were compared. In the accounts, both were almost identical, but it was Sanchez's wage that was used to drive up De Gea's wage.

We can stop now if you like ;)
I doubt you can, as you both seem to want to have the last word

I think you signed Grealish because Pep likes him. There is no real footballing justification for signing him. More like a gift from the owners to Pep.

Is he going to be the next CR7?
No.

Is he better than KDB?
No.

Does he get more goals/assists than Sterling?
No.

Is he an improvement on Foden?
Dunno?

Do City need him?
No.

Does he half nice calves?
Yes.

Will he sell stuff?
Yes.

Does he make Pep happy?
Yes.
Hotel? Trivago.

Because he, like all footballers, will be doing that now anyway. Because that’s football economics. City haven’t got him to sign again with 3 years left and now we know that he has us over somewhat of a barrel.

Haaland signing next summer has fuck all to do with what Sterling demands right now. What Sterling demands right now will be determined by the market, ie his worth to City and the cost of replacing him less his sale value now/next summer.

If you think Sterling doesn’t demand his fuck whack now on the off chance City pay full price (and normal wage) for a top striker next summer then you need your bumps felt.
Not sure why the need to be so rude in your replies.

I agree that Sterling will be using the argument. I just think that if Haaland came in on a wage much higher than his, then that would strengthen his negotiating position. At the moment the club can argue that they wouldn't get involved in that kind of a deal and pay £crazywages.

So, on that we disagree. But not really enough to warrant the confrontational language.

With the kind of money that Levy is demanding for Kane, we could instead buy - or nearly so - Haaland. At this point, I'm actually hoping that the Kane deal falls through as I think that this will put us in a much better position to pursue Haaland in the future.

A blunt reply was all it was, very tame by normal BM standards.....you are being over sensitive.

Hi newbie here, just wondering what is the chance of city still buying kane.just that I read on this forum that there’s some people who are ITK cos everyday that goes by it seems to me he won’t be coming to city.
Hopefully I’m wrong and we manage to pull it off soon

Haha. Brilliant. You really need to get to know @SWP's back a little better.

You've caught him on a good day. :-)

I think the fact we haven't gone after haaland is telling that he probably already said he won't be coming here

I'm not bothered by it, just making the point that he'd find it easier to get his point across without them :)

It felt like he's stated that black is black and I've said it's actually white. The reality was a discussion about shades of grey and frankly there's no need to throw insults (however bland/minor) into what's essentially a discussion, not an argument.

If you don't think the club have explored this option then you want your bumps feeling.....
