The Kane saga has got ludicrous now and if they want anything over £130m for him we should walk away and tell that bald dwarf to stick it

Ronaldo would be achievable, would score for fun, he’d get one last hurrah at a CL & ballon dor and our profile would rise overnight. We’d also save around £100m transfer fee.

I dunno, he'd get us plenty of goals and the piss boiling aspect is a selling point for me but I think that might wear off after a while and we're left with a player who's going to be sucking up to the rags after he retires. While probably trying to make comparisons that piss us off, to make up for "betraying them", in his book.

By that point you won’t care, as you’ll rewatch our first CL win, which he will have had a major say in us winning.
 
Nothing will happen with Kane or Ronaldo coming here before the window shuts. Do people still believe what they read in the papers? Give me strength.
 
The notion that maybe Mendes would be helping us use this link to force Levy’s hand is ridiculous. Ronaldo has one of the biggest ego’s in the world, he wouldn’t want his name being used for anyone’s benefit let alone City’s. He’s already come out and dismissed rumours linking him to Madrid, it’s a matter of time he gets wind of this and distances himself from it. Imo it’s a complete non starter. From a personal perspective, I don’t really care where a player has played before, if he’s gonna come in and win us trophies, then do whatever is necessary. As the saying goes, the badge on the front is bigger than any name on the back (except our third kit).

Isn’t the purpose to get the market moving by getting Levy to be scared according to your theory? Briefing our correspondents to play along would defeat the purpose how?

The thing that seems clear in all of this is Ronaldo wants out of Juventus and Mendes gets things done
