Harry Kane

I agree. Personally I'm not too disappointed as i didn't want him at any cost and neither did City so it would seem.
Yep - I think had we allowed ourselves to be 'milked' we would have done significant damage to the reputation of the club and left ourselves vulnerable to being milked in future negotiations

Better for being known to be willing to walk away if needs be

i’m delighted; voted No ages ago in the poll and maintain that his best days are behind him.

Now on to Erling and his inevitable homecoming for 2022, a genuine superstar and i dont see why we shouldnt be right in the thick of it trying to get his signature.

Wonder if we regret not going after messi and focusing on Kane. Or was the messi thing just wishful thinking

I agree that there is a "stop City" agenda at work and wouldn't be surprised if Levy is working closely with some of the poison-pen letter boys in the Hateful Eight. Would it be a shock if Kane turned up at United next Summer?
I would say your not too far off, strange how we also struggle to get decent fees for players unlike other clubs,

Well why blame Levy for not selling? Who exactly where Spurs going to buy to replace his goals and assists? Realistically?

Or this weekend?
I don't know but I believe someone inside United tipped Gary Neville off at the weekend. His random plea for Kane was really strange. He wouldn't have made it unless something was happening behind the scenes. I think next summer is likely. Isn't that what happened with Modric and Bale? Levy has been taking the piss out of City....and I suspect we know it.

When Pep said they won’t negotiate I got the feeling that Levy wouldn’t talk until we put in an obscene figure and go from there. That figure didn’t come so no further contact, or offer, was made. We just wouldn’t be dragged through Levy’s fire.
From the sounds of things we put in a first offer of £75m + addons, and I guess put in an improved bid of something closer to £100m + addons, which hasn't got us anywhere near and we have walked away with the understanding that we won't get close. My attitude has always been that's it not my money, so I don't care how much we pay, but someone somewhere does care about how how much we spend and thinks we can spend that much money better elsewhere.
