It’s only the older the supporters than dislike Ronaldo, just look at when Grealish signed they had kids with his haircut in the ground in City tops, from a marketing side it’s a no brained the PlayStation generations and you tube kids will lap it up, he’s second only to Messi. From a footballing perspective he is a machine and is probably fitter than most 28 year olds he doesn’t need to do all the running we have youngsters to do that. Do I like his arrogance absolutely not but that is celebrated in other countries in the USA they lap it up, us Brits like the Messi type on the pitch but he used us to get what he wanted so at least we know where we stand with Ronaldo. I say sign him and bring Delap on over the next two seasons to replace him.

12 years though since he played for them.

Pep wants to win the Champs League, for his own ego and for providing the owners with the one trophy to elude us so far. He’s not particularly arsed about the league any more, we’ve won it often enough, and I think Ronaldo would provide us with a far better opportunity to win it than Harry Kane would, due to prior experience and also turning up in the big games.

No brainer for me.

Because we’re waiting to hear from Mendes how much Juventus are willing to wiggle. It can be over very quickly if they won’t let him come for free! As things stand it is a possibility, so we won’t shut it down. But at the same time it could easily be over by tonight, we’ll just have to see!

There will be two phases. Ronaldo has to agree to our offer/conditions first. Only then mendes will deal with Juve. That's when news will leak to reporters.
I don't think we will hear anything until late.
 
Something doesn't sit well with me. If Ronaldo is prepared to reduce his wage demands why has he not been offered to other teams. Utd would be the obvious team to finish his career with or a return to Madrid.

Why does he want to go to the rags, he wants to win trophies. He has been at Madrid before and Ancelotti has to rebuild that team, he has no time to waste doing that.

Madrid wants mbappe. He broke up with Madrid in bad terms.. you think he can win a ballon d'or or UCL with United. His only reason to move is a last try at UCL and ballon d'or

Similar to Laporte, seems his missus came on the scene in last 12 months ish and he’s been unsettled since. Didn’t help I guess that he lost his place to Stones last season aswell.

They both wanna take a leaf out of zinchenko’s book and realise their at the best club in Europe right now, Zin knuckled down and fought for his place when the club tried to sell him & the guys just watched the birth of his 1st child via FaceTime as his missus was in a different country and he couldn’t leave the UK without isolating etc meaning he’d be away for weeks, no moaning just gets on with it...model pro.
 
Will Ronaldo buy into Pep's rotation policy ? He does'nt come across as the type of character who would accept warming the bench for half of the season, don't think the money/fee is the real issue ,it could be assurances of playing time etc., which Pep would never do , he has proven that no player is bigger then the club or team ethic and Ronaldo will have to buy-in to that. He's been the main man everywhere he has played , he won't be at our club.

Because Utd have shed loads of forwards. They may not all be world class but they do. We have 1 who wants to play on the right wing (and lets be honest- was far better there..) and another who is 18 and was as close to the first team as I was in the first half of 2021
