The problem is that the only player Juventus seem interested in is Jesus. If they wanted Bernardo this could have already been completed both ways.i wonder if it would be bernardo off to juve as part of things then?

If Pep thinks Ronaldo has 2 seasons left in him, then surely City will make this happen?
I am worried that Utd could hijack it but I think if Ronaldo wanted to play for Utd again he would be there now talking to them and he isn't, he is with City.
plus it seems it would be a quick deal to do? Like it not as well Ronaldo brings a huge brand boost with foreign fans?

what about a two year loan where Ronaldo comes here and Bernado to Juve? That way Mendes sorts both deals easily, Bernardo gets the culture change he wants in a champions league team and we get a goal scorer?

We could probably construct a deal similar to the supposed Messi one, where he plays for us for a year or two then moves to NYC. He might beinterested in finishing his career in the US. Assuming any alleged legal issues he might have over there from previous events are not a show stopper.....City probably saying to mendes proce he wants it
Lower wages and fee and it’s a possibility
Ronaldo to city with Messi at PSG becomes the new Barca v real for a year
Realistically looks like his last big chance
Just looking at his juve goals and what I like is that he isn’t afraid to shoot, can take a penalty and is awesome in the air
We could do with all of those attributes but it’s just the circus he brings that is the issue!!

At £25mil though, with a bit of negotiation, surely we can get it done for £15/20mil. Just pay the fee. Fuck it. Then let Bernie go on his favoured loan to Atletico or Barca etc. His deal is until 2025 so no biggie as we can get the transfer concluded another time, we know he will retain his value, he’s too good not to.The problem is that the only player Juventus seem interested in is Jesus. If we sign him it will obviously help cover the striker position for a year or two, and he is still capable of scoring lots of goals.
My issue with the transfer though and the reason I voted no is because of the fact that we are in this position and having to sign a 36 year old whose career will soon be at an end.
This is the sort of signing we would have made 5-10 years ago, not now when we are at the top and looking to continue our dominance. It's the lack of medium-lomger term planning which also frustrates me. This is a very short term, last minute, knee jerk move.
I'm sure once the dust settles we all cheer his goals, but I don't think we should have to cover a gap like this in such last minute desperation.
