Amazing how this seems to have gathered momentum since the news about Kane yesterday. It does remind me of how quickly we moved for Dias after pursuing Koulibaly last summer.

Ronaldo is a proven winner with an incredible goal scoring record. He wouldn't be coming here for one last pay check, he wants to outperform Messi and it looks like he's returning to the most difficult league in the world in order to do that.

I've disliked this bloke since he joined the rags and I've resented just how good he is, but this feels like a great move for everyone involved. I hope we get it over the line!

Only interpretation but I read it the other way around. The Kane deal collapsed precisely because City had made headway with Ronaldo.

All along we've assumed there was no Plan B. Well maybe there wasn't but at some point Mendes made a proposition to City and I think we have been working on it for some time.

Agree, it would be good for the young players to work with him but also see the hard work and dedication that have kept him at the top to his age. Could be wrong but he’s different to Messi , it just seems it comes naturally to Messi with much effort.
