Got to be honest, just changed my vote from yes to no. Having slept on it, I don't really want him. Yes it'll be fun to wind up the rags, but just have a feeling it'll be a bit of a disappointment on the pitch.

Good for shirt sales to the kids and overseas market mind, so not too much of a gamble I guess.

He only needs to be marginally better to what we are offering right now on the CF position and I would call this a success. The commercial side is already given. We can't go on this season with a giant hole in our lineup. As short term signings go this one makes sense in all areas. Even if he flops on the pitch we'd just be back to where we are had we not sign him but with a much better commercial profile. If the reported cost of this endeavour is true then it's already a win regardless of what he does on the field.
