I know it wasn’t the plan this summer but spending some of the money now on a dm & lb would be the sensible approach. Whomever we have eyed to replace Mendy & Fern next season should be moved forward now and wait until next summer for a forward.

I can't believe you rate isak. He is so average. I watched real Sociedad games last season and he needs 6 chances to score one goal. Swap with Bernardo-no chance for me. Plus Bernardo wants UCL. What evidence do you have that a 2nd bid for £125m/£130m was ever made.levy obv thought we would go to £150 million as we were desperate for a cf he thought he’d get his £150 m on deadline day and we pulled the plug after the £125/130 m offer, tolmie and billy both were adamant we were in for him and so were our press pack.
levy is prob deep down gutted he missed out on that chunk of money.
kane pulled out of the transfer. At the time I took this as an indicator that City were in for Ronaldo but it seems we knew we wouldn't get Ronaldo.
I think City let these transfer stories play out in the media and then quietly get on with their own transfer business. The fact that City were looking at Ronaldo's situation and that Kane pulled out just when the so-called £125m Kane bid was being prepared suggests to me that a lot of the Kane talk was simply hot air.

Its a lot of money for him, I agree, but he's 22 so there's a resale value and he wouldn't demand more then 100k /w.I like Isak but he's not worth £77m.

Especially if the dippers walk in and take him? We should have stacks of cash left so should at least boost the two other areas of concern now in DM and LB? If we got bissouma and nuno now then them two positions are set for years to come?

Would be a shit window if we don’t at least get a LB as although grealish is great, we have thrown pep under the bus with no world class striker AGAIN! Obviously there is no striker coming in now so we could at least finally sort the left back problem out?
