Exactly the same position. In the CL scheme, 3 tickets paid for on my phone and unable to attend or transfer. What bullsh1t - we are being treated with total contempt, yet again! I flirted with not going again over the Super League shambles and this may be the final straw for me.

Ticketing T&Cs state that you can transfer tickets.

I get that but the principle of transferring tickets whilst retaining the points awarded is established and acceptable for league games but the same principle seems to be unacceptable for the cup schemes

At this point I'm considering buying a cheap phone to put my mobile tickets on, so I can just give in to my friends when we can not go, the amount of hassle it took to move my Southampton ticket using the friends and family system was just a joke, I can not go to the Club Brugge game due to the wife having an op that day so i’m stuck with tickets I can not use or even give away..

Sorry to hijack this, but as well as the issue stated in this thread re cup scheme ticket transfer can you also raise the issue I’ve raised with you via email in the past, namely the mess that is the points system and how away attendance is rewarded?

The removal of points from away ticket purchases is quite possibly one of the most regressive decisions the club has ever made, ticket wise, in the sense that given everyone at the top of the points tree will always go Platinum and all three schemes to maintain their position. So rather than permitting more people to get away tickets, it freezes in time the current order. 18-25 allocation works for when people are in that age group but when they leave it they’re back to square one. That aside, it seems unfathomable that away travel, which is the most committed and costly way to support the team, is rewarded in absolutely no way whatsoever.

I can’t pretend to have the answer, but the system as it stands is inherently broken and needs to be sorted out.

The stated aim of filling seats is a platitudinal fop to city matters against a backdrop of the summer, where they've gone out of their way to alienate a substantial the core of the fanbase.

The problem was that the system, plus Platinum, encouraged people to buy away tickets they weren't going to use, in order to stay on the ladder. People say it wasn't an issue but the club had people monitoring it and they said it was. The little evidence since it stopped indicates that it worked and that away tickets were going to lower points. And of course having to collect CL tickets at destination (while a pain in the arse & certainly not something I'd support to that extent on any sort of regular basis) made a huge difference.

I've also seen, first hand, people with 10 tickets on high points working out who they were going to sell most of those tickets to. So I don't agree that stopping points for aways was regressive.

I understand where you’re coming from to an extent, but from how I see it taking away game points has cut off the metaphorical nose of the points system to spite its face. The transfixion on stopping points whoring has removed the central tenet of the whole scheme - the idea that people who go to more games get better priority. Without that link, the system becomes rigged in favour of those who were there first rather than those who attend the games now.

Platinum is an issue of the club’s own making to enable them to eke that extra £50 out of people on the premise that double points will help them climb the ladder. So really, they themselves created that particular issue, and it’s high time they set about sorting it. It’d just be nice to see some leadership from your CM colleagues on this.

So I buy a season ticket and because of illness, death in the family, work etc I wouldn't obtain any points despite me being a season ticket holder or whatever they call it nowadays. Seems like the club is becoming more and more detached from the average supporter. Maybe they should spend a few days learning what it's like to be treated like shit by the club you have supported for 45+ years or even better maybe they actually employ people who are a) fans of the club and b) actually understand what things like customer service entails. Sending out surveys and then ignoring all the comments because the club knows what it will do regardless of fan feedback is not cutting it. There are a lot of fans who are on the edge of packing it all in and things like this points fiasco, the ticketing nonsense, parking issues will be the final straw for many. Despite what the hierarchy may think we do not have thousands of tourists waiting to fill the seats of disenfranchised fans like the 'istree clubs have.

I’ve just spent 1 hour 30 mins on hold to city as no Leicester tickets for
Tomorrow still and also to sort a paper ticket for Wycombe as I will be on holiday for this, and with this stupid rule can’t transfer.
Apparently I can’t request paper ticket for Wycombe yet and will have to ring back next week while I’m on holiday, and spend another however long on hold no thanks. It’s an absolute shambles all this

a lot of fans have already packed it in mate ....and i imagine there will be a lot more....im one on the verge. i was going to jack it 2 seasons ago but my lads talked me into renewing...now even one of them cant be arsed with it.

I think there is evidence that this season demand for away tickets has been reduced. There may be many reasons for this including Covid etc but I think the lack of loyalty points may encourage some high-points people (like me) to duck a few matches. Hopefully that will free up spots for younger fans. I also think football fans generally (like the FSA) should lobby for larger away allocations where possible. There is no easy answer to this problem.

I too have been hanging on, the first season of VAR almost did me, that disallowed Jesus goal in the first game v spurs luckily for the club came at the start and not the end of the seson.

Had we been 'live' last season I honestly don't know if i'd have renewed but having not seen my southern based lad more than 2/3 times over Covid decided to renew this season to spend time with him.

I've not had any issue yet this season apart from pissing about getting in the ground as I've not bleeped either game yet even though my wallet is active.

Not on the CL scheme but still have no idea where I'll be sat/stood v Wycome and I'm not fucking about on the phone for half a day.

Things will have to improve dramatically this season as I suspect I'll not be happy with how the league is determined.
