City & FFP | 2020/21 Accounts released | Revenues of £569.8m, £2.4m profit (p 2395)

Pretty sure Everton were’t one of the Hateful Eight/Noncey Nine.

Regarding FFP though, they were one of the clubs who voted in favour of the Premier League bringing it in back when Kenwright was chairman. Many clubs voted for it just to use it as an excuse not to spend big without caring that potential future owners of those clubs might want to invest plenty of money. That’s the situation Everton find themselves in now, and Newcastle of course as Ashley also voted for FFP.
Ok maybe Everton did not sign that particular letter but they have been critical towards City since the takeover but then again who hasn’t?

I got slightly off track on that point. £500m wasted and now looking down the FFP barrel…

Here is a list of the hateful eight (which does not include Everton) included in a typically forthright article by Martin Samuel. When are we putting up a statue to this marvellous man?
Ironic that Newcastle were/are one of them

Do you think they might be selling their reporting to a majority of their subscribers?
Yeh but your talking about the traditional big teams with big fan basis but there are so many foreign and domestic teams with related or sponsors that are ignored that don’t have the fan basis or don’t have the global fan basis that are ignored in these discussions e.g Stoke Juv Bayern probs loads of others especially in lower leagues

I hope it comes back to bite them all in the arse!

Of the 'Nasty Noncey Nine';
Arsenal = Despite Arteta going there, i cant stand these jumped up, living in the past cockney wankers, who would walk over hot coals 'drinking lite beer' to have any success!
Manchester United = Pure jealousy, envy and hatred of our success. "Not in my lifetime" Haaaaa, what's that they say about he who laughs last .......
Liverpool - Delusional cnuts to the end with an absolute prick of a manager, who will be off to pastures new, once the money bell rings!
Tottenham - Jumped up nobody, incredibly jealous of our success and have no clue on how to compete with us! Desperately clinging onto top 6-8 and without Kane would be outside the top 10!. So glad now that we didn't line their pockets with 120M+ in the summer .......... fking idiot Levy!
Chelsea - They actually surprised me at the time, but just goes to prove that they are running scared of us now, despite them thinking they 'have this' under Tootal's !
Leicester - Now this did surprise me as without their Thai ownership and the money they have invested in the club. Without which they would be doing a West Brom / Norwich
(Remembering their previous owner on the 3rd anniversary of his tragic death - Vichai may you rest in eternal peace sir!)
Wolves - Having lived in Wombourne for a few years and being in the Wolverhampton Manor so to speak, i had quite a few colorful 'debates' with the locals (mainly in the local cricket club, who took exception to me going in after the game with my City shirt on!) they are another incredibly delusional outfit who truly believe the are big-time Charlie's!
Newcastle - Be careful what you wish for you Geordie wankers! Worst club and supporters in the NE by a country mile, give me a Mackem any day of the week! Remember the pre-Keegan days with less that 20K in the ground week in week out. Other than literally a handful of decent ones i have met, the rest are right up there with Scouse and Trafford scum for me...
Burnley - What the fcuk has this got to do with this small time, should be League 1 club (at best!) and who gives a flying fcuk on what they think or say, the sooner they are relegated and go back to where they belong the better! I actually used to have a soft spot for them, mainly due the many Lancashire Cricket supporters they have and of course the legend that is Jimmy Anderson!! Not anymore since they tried to stab us in the back... cnuts!

Ahhhhh, I do actually feel better now for getting this off my chest this morning!!

Agreed but negative City press equates to click bait just as much as positive big club stuff does it not?

Cancelo valued at €25m more than Danilo and costing less than Mendey. That’s about right I would say.
Yeah, i didnt think either were over priced at the time, some odd numbers in the list though..

I thought it was obvious that the valuations of the two was somehow built to benefit some kind of financial calculations (I couldn't explain to you how it might work, but Danilo's price was higher than I'd have expected).

The simplest facts seem to evade Jordan:
Simon - Citys owner is the deputy PM of the UAE - that means he is Dominic Raab not the PM Boris Johnson you tit.
The money he has invested in City is his personal money not the states through ADUG Ltd , an investment company for the Abu Dhabi royal family. He is involved in various government-run companies in the UAE none of which sponsor City. He is Vice Chairman of a very large Sovereign Wealth fund - which has nothing to do with City. He also owns large stakes in Virgin Galactic and Sky Sports Arabia which also have nothing to do with City. Etihad is the second flag carrier of the UAE - it also has nothing to do with HH Sheik Mansour however does sponsor us. Because he has nothing to do with the running of Etihad it cannot be a related party - get it?
The point about Sheikh Mansour being one of two Deputy PMs of the UAE is that neither of them can ever become Prime Minister. That position is always held by the ruler of Dubai. (Sheikh Mansour is Deputy PM/Minister of Presidential affairs and his brother Sheikh Saif is Deputy PM/Minister of the Interior.

The irony of dickheads like Solekhol on Sky Sports forever banging on about City being owned by a country is that they're probably completely unaware that Sheikh Mansour has a 50-50 joint venture partnership with their employers BSkyB in Sky News Arabia.

The exchanges are specifically designed to navigate FFP but don't think there is any illegality about it. At least in the UK, transfers are subject to VAT so I would have thought it is in the governments interest to have boosted/inflated value

We've done it for Cancelo and Dias but received the Accounting boost on selling Danilo and Otamendi
