Ref Watch

I think I can honestly say that that was one of the worst refereeing performances I have ever seen.
I used to think that Clattenburg was bad but Marriner was an absolute, disgusting, cheating, nasty little weasel today!
I’m sorry but it’s true.

I obviously haven’t calmed down as much as I thought I had. Sorry.

Which goes to show that they are not applying the so called clear and obvious error rule. Clear and obvious errors don't take 3 minutes to assess. Ridiculous.
Dead right. I called offside two seconds after seeing the screen shot. They are either fuckwits in the VAR shed, dissembling nincompoops or manipulating what footage they have.

Marriner was a disgrace, my voice has gone from calling him a Wanker constantly for 90 minutes (apart from when I was shouting the same thing at their Keeper). It was the sort of performance that questions if he has taken a bung, is operating to Pigmol instructions or just hates us.

I do wish Pep in his post-match interviews calls these corrupt fuckers out.

Oliver is only the half decent referee and what should happen it in the var box there should always be an ex player from both sides in there to stop the corruption of the rag scouse fuckers John moss on var today he ain’t fit for fcuk all the cheating ****

I think it’s quite clever what they are doing taking 3 mins to work out if a player is offside or not,it’s more about killing one team’s momentum, while giving the other a breather to regroup..

Isn’t Marriner the twat that sent Pab Zab off in the cup final vs the pie eaters? If I’m correct this simply confirms what an absolUte arsehhole the man is !

I have an idea how to stop this time wasting. I sent an email to Arsene Wenger in the hope that he would consider it instead of pratting about with ideas of World cups every two years but apparently he "did not see it"

They should bring in a rule where once the ball is returned to the field of play for a goal kick it remains dead for only six seconds after which time the ball is considered live and opposition players can enter the penalty area and get the ball. Should stop the piss taking goalkeepers we seem to see every home game.

Problem was we were more shite than the ref!

Can’t remember who it was posted in a thread about the episode on Netflix about juventus( bad sport it’s called ) and the whole corruption scandal involving them and a group of referee’s,was an absolute eye opener to what can and has went on,yet the English game is supposedly bulletproof from corruption or so the myth is constantly peddled..

Don't be sorry, as much as I hate it when mariner refs our games I didn't think he was the worst ref - that is until today, a whole new low and now in the same bracket as tierney, moss and friend

There is one simple solution to time wasting When the ball is not in play the clock stops and there would be 30mins of ball in play, I understand that this is the average
This is a system that works well in other sports

Agree to a certain extent but one reason teams do it, as well as to waste time, is to break up momentum and also have a breather in a game where they have spent most of the time chasing the ball. Could end up with games dragging on for ever. Seems there is a good number of our support have something urgent to get to at 5.40 on a Saturday so might play havoc with their plans.

I've said it before - the initial decision is rarely overturned. Hence Marriner, Taylor et al give us the maximum sanction and United the most lenient punishment initially, knowing that those decisions will likely stand. Never is the benefit of the doubt given to us. Often it is to United.
100% correct.

It's the biased/cheating officials approach to VAR and MCFC, give it as a decision against us and then say VAR saw nothing clear and obvious to overturn the biased/cheating decision.

The penalty and red card for Walker being rescinded vs Southampton still amazes me, total anomaly.

Not often I’m hoarse purely from screaming abuse at the ref. He was an utter disgrace. Is it an actual rule that keepers can’t be booked for time wasting until after the 85th minute ? Half the time he had his back turned to the time wasting, he was even pissing about near the touch line with the 4th official at one point while the keeper was faffing about.

And it might’ve been a sending off in todays game but it wasn’t clearcut enough to be overturned by var had he not given it but he couldn’t fuckin wait to pull the red card out.
Eddie got booked in the 84th minute, the first time he taken any length of time to release the ball all fucking game.

Because the stats show he booked the keeper. The fact he left it until so late was entirely predictable
Apart from a small fine in what way did the booking punish the keeper who took the piss out of the Mariner all game challenging his authority and making him look exactly what he is a weak ****

...and why, when the laws clearly state otherwise, are we ALWAYS shown offside decisions being decided at a point after the ball has been played.

The laws clearly state that the "first point of contact between boot and ball" is when offside calls should be made, but we ALWAYS see the frame frozen and the lines drawn, at the moment the ball appears to leaves the boot.

It's all manipulated bollocks, and it drives me insane (or "more insane" is probably a more accurate phrase)
