Considering this is a game that could save their season a very poor effort so far. Tells you a lot when the best defender we have is a converted midfielder. The keeper is a shambles and once again Taylors only tactic is to boot it over the top. We have seriously gone backwards - Taylor will point to injuries but the fact is that the players have no idea what they should be doing. They are much better than this. Surely he can't remain in his job if they lose this game badly - he must bring on Raso and Losada (who should have started imo) as they are streets ahead of what we are watching from our midfield - and, what on earth has happened to Stokes?
 
Yet again comedy defending by messing about with the ball. This could end 5 or 6.

We need some stability and focus with the ball.
 
Unfortunately, this is what most of us were expecting even if we were hoping against hope that we could put on a display of which we could be proud regardless of the result.
If we are not going to at least try 100% (players, manager and support staff) AND we are not going to win the game I am beginning to wish that we lose by enough of a margin (play, effort and goals) to leave the manager no other option than to resign or the board to sack him and his cohorts.
This coming from a long time City supporter who has had more than enough of the present management team and who hopes for a better end result in the long term.
Come on City - men,women, EDS AND all the younger teams. We have a great future ahead..

This is another shocker from City…..could be 4:0 already. Only Lauren Hemp has turned up so far. Defence seem incapable of dealing with the Chelsea press. This half we’ve had both wind and sun advantage which has been so evident….NOT. All done before a national audience on BBC. Do we have a leader in this side?
 
It doesn’t even look like we will score today either. Chelsea will have the wind behind them 2nd half, so we will see them pull city out and drop it in behind for Kerr to run onto.

As a striker I liked to play against the wind myself, the ball over the top would hold up and sit for you, rather than run on as you hold the line.

Wind advantage is only good for long-range shooting and even now with the balloons they play with, it will mostly go over the bar lol

Last season told me all I need to know about how good a manager he is - we had a very powerful squad and with Mewis and Lavelle (who he completely misused) we should have won a lot more. It was his tactics and lack of plan that cost them. Lavelle had her best game for us in the CL and what did he do? Benched her next few games. The man is hopeless and should not be in charge - simple as that. This game could have and should have been 4 -0 to Chelsea.
 
Willie Kirk on BBC - “Gareth should look to his bench”. I thought we had only named 5 subs? Bringing on the 16 year old keeper perhaps….
I don’t trust this City team to do ‘damage limitation” well. If Chelsea want it there is a definite thumping for us here.
