Next Manager after Pep

I really hope we don't go for Brenda, the drop off is huge for me.

The guy is clearly a very good coach, that is without question but for me as a man / personality , he is not for us, I would have worries about our future in the short term.

Whoever takes Pep's place is on a hiding to nothing and hence must be a very strong character.

I feel like it's a bit like post-fergie and wenger, the manager after Pep is almost destined to fail, as Pep has so much power at City top to bottom. the shock of any kind of adaptation will cause problems. the manager after him will be the key appointment. If we win a title within 2-3 years after him leaving we've done very well I think
 
i personally think vieira would be the best bet.
I could see him having a rapport with the fans more than say Rodger’s or another new foreign coach might.
vieira would also add a bit more steel to the style of play which is probably going to be a good move as any new coach is going to be less effective at implementing the pep style so a slight variation is better than a pale imitation

Eh, we’re better run than both of those clubs. I’d expect a Year 1 shock, but we should be back on track within 2.

Don't think it makes the slightest difference either way. He signed a 2 year extension we all expected would be his last and he'll do the 2 years. Most likely that will be it, it will be unexpected if he extends further.

It’ll likely be similar to the period of 2011-2016, when we had Mancini and Pellegrini.

A couple of league titles, and the odd cup win.

I would expect the same in the 5/6 years after Pep and can live with that.

Before we then look for the next Pep, which is harder said than done.

Not sure he’d have signed if he had had an aguero replacement in earlier/had a better crack at CL.

Of course they want it we all want it it just isn't the be all and end all the media and some of our fans seem to believe.. They understand though as doea Pep the league come first because that's about consistency. They understand the C/l is a knockout at the end of the day. The crazy ones are those that think the club or the manager will make any decision based on the difference between a C/L semi final/final / win. They haven't and they won't, as anyone that listens to what they say over what the media say would know.

It is the be all, that's just the way top football is.

The Champions league is hugely overrated but if you win it, it's elevates your club, istory and profile and at the end of the day financial value.

The longer the hunt goes on the more the pressure, and I don't think that's a bad thing.

Disagree. Winning it is less important than being in and around the latter stages most years.

Are Chelsea any bigger now than before they fluked it against Bayern - I don’t think so.

Has Juve’s standing diminished because they haven’t won it for a quarter of a century - again, no.

Inter won it for the first time in over 40 yrs in 2010 and then had a barren decade.

It’s overhyped.
