It's already near impossible to get the ball off Rodri, Bernardo and Gundogan. I'm not sure that DeJong offers any more than cover, i.e. a Fernandinho replacement.

He hasn't been getting game time because he's been shite...simple. He very likely wants out because its easier than working at getting back into the squad and in his head moaning about playtime is the answer instead of "showing pep on the pitch" in the words of the great man himself. Actually, i'll be fair and say its probably impossible to work on his weaknesses as they are of the "you either have it or you dont" kind.

As for a realistic chance of a barca move?....yeah i do see it. Why? Because Raz himself knows its either a barca level move now, or a potential lesser side if he waits(depending on his level of delusion). Plus he has previous teammates at barca, he has said he'd like to play in spain, and barca will no doubt get some very high earners off the books in the coming window.

I'd send raz that direction and take DeJong in a heartbeat...Even if it costs us something.

Spot on - was thinking something similar. Hope City can pull off a deal like this!
 
There's simply no way Sterling is getting back in the 1st team for UCL/EPL games, the team has evolved and he's not got the skillset to thrive in it.

He/we need to move on ASAP now where he can still go to a club of stature and we get some value from him.

He's been a huge part of our recent success and he'll be thanked accordingly but it really is time.

I’d love to see the stats of how many times he can go through, one on one, clear on goal and miss or even not get a shot off after needlessly cutting back. Ronaldos stats look great again, his team is suffering for it. Tell half a story
 
it's quite incredible that these days Barcelona desperately sniff around our cast offs.

Not a dig at Raz who I like, but a comment on the overall situation. I'd be happy to keep Raz but sense his time is up.
