Liverpool terror attack

What rest of story? So far the only official information is that 1 dead 1 injured 3 helping police and the antiterorist squad investigating. Suggest we wait for a lot more information before jumping to fantasy.
As someone else has said, we’ve enough information to know it was someone trying to either bomb the remembrance service or the women’s hospital.

That’s now beyond all doubt.

So what is "the rest of the story" comment about?

Terrorist attacks should be prevented, it's their job.
There are so many factors that make being able to stop every single terrorist attack impossible.

Increases in the terrorists secrecy and sophistication will be a big one. As time moves on, they’ll become better at keeping their movements and activities hidden.

Increases in numbers of terrorist cells. Back at the time of 9/11, the FBI said that outside Afghanistan the #1 country for terrorist cells in the world was the UK… and that was 20 years ago. Imagine what it’s like now with how many immigrants have come in that time (there was a period of time where the last Labour govt didn’t know how many immigrants were coming into the country fuck knows who managed to come here in that period of time), added to the growth of things like the dark web and even social media creating those algorithms for nutcases radicalising our British born lads and lasses.

Our SISs are going to find preventing terrorist attacks in this country ever more difficult and many will be impossible. I predicted a few years ago that in the future, terrorist attacks will be a regular occurrence in this country (a few times a year). It’s not got to that yet, but I still think it will.

a bit woof of you to bring dogs into it.

Or maybe that’s the address the **** was picked up from….

That was my thought. I would absolutely expect the anti-terror squad to go there first.

It's currently not known what the target was, is it? The remembrance service at the cathedral seems plausible - how far is the hospital from the cathedral?

Awful news that innocents have been hurt in this attempted Remembrance day atrocity, and huge respect/credit to the taxi driver himself......but one less cowardly terrorist **** in the world is always a great result - just a fucking shame his death wasn't so quick and his three filthy mates haven't suffered the same fate.

What sick person goes to bomb a hospital it’s mind boggling. The quick thinking of the taxi driver is a miracle.

Actually amazes me how many atrocities have been prevented

considering how easy the thought is of bringing a bomb on to a train,in pub, stadiums etc.

yet year on year we see loads of attacks being prevented - thanks to our brilliant intelligence services
It's only the "failures" by the security services that get reported. Successful operations just aren't publicised, as they wouldn't be called the "secret service" if they were.

Cabbie named as David Perry.

"Further info will be released this afternoon"

According to Sky News.

Have a watch of how easy it was for comedian, Simon Brodkin, to get close to Trump:

If a comedian who does a lot of pranking (seen his Sepp Blatter one and the City one n’all?!) can get that close to the then President of the USA, just imagine how easy it is for people moving in secret and protected circles to get close to their targets.

That the SISs shut down any terrorist attacks at all is a credit to them, never mind the amount they do shut down.
