If you have been at City for 18 months, you're beginning to establish yourself (which takes at least a season in Pep's side) and Barcelona are the worst they've been in decades, you shouldn't be swayed so easily. Much like Eric Garcia, it's not unsurprising that he could have his head turned by Barca if they're offering him a starting role in his homeland.

He's very much on the periphery in squad standing and he's about to get knocked back even further in the next window or two when we eventually sign a starting striker.

Does he want to stick around in Manchester and play as a second fiddle striker or winger for the next couple of seasons?

He's a massive talent and he's going to go on to big things, but you need to look at it from his perspective right now, rather than the benefits we get from keeping him around as one of many decent squad players.

If there's any truth to it, the money has to be right though and if Barca aren't coughing up at least £50m I'd be telling them to jog on.
