Metrolink to / from Etihad

Since returning to footie matches in August I've noticed the Met seems to be doing better at getting fans out. Always have a couple of pints after the game and there's practically no queue these days for trams going back into Manchester. They do get packed though and no one wears face masks.

Can anybody find out how many of our games have been disrupted by “planned engineering work”, and how many of the Red Twats games have?

I suspect that we have a far greater number than they do.

Metrolink hate people who use the Altrincham line, they stick single units on after a match and cram as many of us in as they can. They are not fit for purpose.

Just been told that the Altrincham line isn’t running today because of engineering works, try to check it out now. Has anyone else heard anything

I posted this information over a week ago on a metrolink thread somewhere on here. It's not running, replacement bus service which means you probably might as well catch the ,263.

Bastards. It’s an Uber then.
Not when you see the price of Uber. I'm near Sale and on Weds evening Uber were asking £17 for a 1.1 mile trip to Brooklands Tram stop. Last night they were asking for £14. Used to be £3.50.

Big shortage of drivers so surge pricing is on all the time. Plan ahead and book a local supplier.

Cheers mate, I’m in Sale, 4 of us so will have a look around.

Whoever plans the tram schedules hates the residents of the Altrincham line and City fans in general.

Just a heads up no Altrincham trams this Sunday.

Friday I posted it and earlier on another tram thread. I always check the tram information prior to a game as they often stop them running, especially on a Sunday.

Around five years ago I used to have to catch a taxi at 4:30 am from Altrincham to get the 5:05 am train from Piccadilly. That cost around £15 but God knows what it is now.
