F1 Season 2021

Just for my own curiosity I thought I would see how much more 'interesting' this years Championship has been. I'd say there's a decent chance that this thread could be nudging 400 pages by the end of the race next Sunday. Last year's F1 thread ran to just 92!

Hamilton will miss him next season. I can't see Russell expecting to do the same role. He'll want the title and if Mercedes get it right we might see another rivalry for a decade which will be good for the sport.

No denying this has been the best season for years. I suspect the final race will also be as controversial. Let's see what Masi let's RB get away with next weekend.

The saudis love willy waving. The only way they'd tweak is to make it faster and more dangerous for the drivers.

Abu Dhabi has always been a boring race but they’ve reconfigured the circuit to hopefully improve the spectacle. Huge back straight and Drs zone should see some positions changing, I wouldn’t fancy trying to pass Verstappen with some of the dirty tricks he tried at 200mph.

That's what he'll be banking on.

Hamilton had shown his experience this season and reeled Max in using it. In a few years time hopefully we'll see Verstappen has matured and doing the same to the next heir the championship throne. However he'll need to change personally to do that and I don't think hie ego would allow it.

Exactly what you’d expect from a spoilt little shit who’s never heard the word no, has been hothoused and moddy coddled and given whatever he wanted by his multimillionaire father since he was born.

“and suddenly I get a penalty” - well yeah. Because the last time you got away with it and every other fucker in the world (apart from Max fanboys and the racists that hate successful black sportspeople) went crazy following Brazil.

He should be counting his lucky stars that he’s not already been DQ’d from the final race.

Two years ago I celebrated a Max win like a City goal but now I’d rather see anyone but him win a point. Talented? For sure. But he’s not a “racer”, he’s just a spoilt chancer.

The bloke is a ****, he’s a liability and he should have been disqualified. Can’t win a race without trying to take someone out. Thinks “racing” means failing to brake in time for the corner so just slide into the apex to push the other car off the line.

If there’s any justice in the sport, he never wins a championship.

I don't get why so many people are willing Max on... He's a huge ****!

Hopefully, Lewis smashes it next week and wins his 8th.

His attitude aside, he now simply refuses to break into a corner if there is driver near him and if he instigates contact or goes off the track, he simply does not care.

The FIA and drivers themselves need to put a stop to his increasingly dangerous driving because he will seriously injure someone.

My money will be on LH "accidentally" being taken off/out

According to the bbc article I quoted from before, it seems the majority of the paddock are over him driving by his own rules.

It’s going to be Senna/Prost in Suzuka or Schumacher/Hill in Adelaide if Hamilton qualifies behind Verstappen. I hope it’s not decided on a crash after it being this close.
