Weak from Tuchel. 1-0 up against Brighton with that squad. They should have gone on and won regardless of the injuries. He's giving his players excuses with talk of impossible conditions for his players.

What’s he moaning about? I thought he was going to throw his hat on the floor and stamp his feet and shout “it’s not fair”.

It’s a weird rant because it’s very light contact and Chelsea were lucky their goal wasn’t ruled off for Lukaku throwing elbows

A really difficult January for Chelsea now with absolutely no momentum going into it. If they lose to either Liverpool or us and their league campaign is almost certainly over. And, unlike Liverpool, you just cant see them putting the run of games together that you'd need to catch us.

Looks like Tuchel has gone fully Willy Wonka Golden Ticket spoilt brat kid!

Get a grip, man!!

All PL teams have same squad size, Chelsea have best Academy in English football and have about 20 players out on loan, and he’s having THAT rant???

Compare with Pep, who is missing players, has injuries, and 2 keepers on the bench sitting with some kids, and you can add yet another “Thank God we have him!” to the ling list!

City will, rightly imo, never get any sympathy during injury crises, so Chelsea aren't going to get much sympathy for putting out this starting 11 with players like Kante and Alonso on the bench when playing a team like Brighton.

Edouard Mendy
Cesar Azpilicueta
Andreas Christensen
Antonio Rudiger
Christian Pulisic
Mateo Kovacic
Filho Jorge Jorginho
Reece James
Mason Mount
Callum Hudson-Odoi
Romelu Lukaku

Half of that team are either playing through injuries or not even close to being match fit. Tuchel may be ranting with an agenda, but the health of the squad is a problem and I'm glad he's ranting about it.

No, I appreciate that, and think the league should have been much clearer on when games can be delayed - it's not like covid is new. But, nevertheless, City and Chelsea will never get sympathy, and even with injuries, which most clubs face at one point or another during a season, that is a more than decent starting 11.

Despite injuries and covid, they'll secure CL football. I think they will do well in the cups and CL

I'll be honest with you, banging the same drum after every game isn't my cup of tea. Too much negativity could end up having an adverse effect on the squad's morale, so I hope he says his piece and moves on. But I'm glad he's pointing these things out. It also hardly seems fair that teams are playing each other with vastly different work loads in recent weeks. Brighton were playing only their third game since Dec 4 tonight. We were playing our 8th game since Dec 4. Similar difference with Villa.

It all evens out eventually.
The non playing teams are going to have a run of games later on that will test their fitness as well.
Your team has had a shocker of a December and your manager has went on full German mode telling us how unfair it is.

Teams that play lots of games (more than 40) are the successful ones. Those clubs make more money for playing in those games. That money generated more commercial revenues and gets spent on more and better players. The argument then loses its appeal.

Note: Pep doesn’t like VAR OR REFS OR THE FIXTURE LIST, but he knows HIM whining about it only generates the same “oil money” “biggest squad” (all teams allowed same sized squad!) “cry me a River” responses, so he tells the TV the same as the players, and the same thing an Under 12s coach tells his kids…”let’s get on with it, because crying won’t change anything!”

Then again, when it comes to coaches opinions, Klopp and Tuchel may well carry more weight than Pep with the PL, due to who they are and who their clubs are?!
