That match was a couple of months before I got married (April 1981) and me and the wife had out 40th anniversary last year!!!It was strange at the end where John Bond for us and Dave Sexton for them are getting interviewed together on the pitch, that certainly wouldn’t happen today, but where the fcuk has 40 years gone..
Agree, he just comes across as a genuine fan of the game, happy to be watching, enjoying it all, no politics, just entertainment.Decent commentary last night. Mcoist always does a great job, unbiased and insightful.

I had the radio commentary on in the back of our wedding car on the last game of the season in 1990. She never mentioned again that night to anybody or since then!! I think we were there earlier in the days when Arsenal a good team and good guys with Thierry Henry them at his superb peak.They said it before kick off. The Swindon fans were singing ‘who are ya’ and the commentator said ‘it’s only the best team in the world.’
He came on to a chorus of 'who the f.ing hell are you?' Loads of other self deprecating chants and 'boring, boring Arsenal' stuff in praise of the gunners.
When you're 4 down after about 20 mins, you have to make the most of it.

Yes I was there. The company I worked for at the time (Austin's Steel, which later merged with Trumans of Trumans for Steel advert fame at MR) had 3 season tickets to use to entertain customers. Anyway the 3 season tickets were very useful as the season progressed,they helped me get tickets for Everton FA Cup q- final (home and away), the semi- final vs Ipswich, and the Final replay vs Spurs.
The directors used them to get tickets for the actual FA Cup Final, even though they weren't football fans at all,they just used them for the big occasion.
I had to pay way over the odds for the Saturday final itself, which really pissed me off at the time.

Same here , BT ten day reply deadiline ends on Monday , then they get the phone call and everything is cancelled landline , telly , sport , mobile , the lot , bought a couple of phones on good deals last year and spent over a grand , so they can f*ck off if they dont take my complaint seriously , plenty of other alternatives.Keeps City fans tuned in. No complaints on ITV for me. Still not heard off BT wankers though. Three days they said, hopefully drowning in complaints!
