It's as if the haven't got the foggiest about the sport from which they steal a living.
During my working life i found that, however much you thought you knew, it was never enough and constant learning was essential. These journos have become so obsessed with City that they have stopped learning. For example, which ones have researched the American teams' business model and spotted why they act as they do? Not hard!
How many actually understand Pep's "game of position"? Several still refer to it as tika taka. WRONG! The sad fact is that English football journalism has reached rock bottom. It's not just the clicks, it's sheer ignorance. They sit together in the press box and ask each other "What's the line on this?" They are too ignorant even to form their own opinion.
As you say, not the foggiest. Enjoy the cake, Miggy.
EDIT PS. Martin Samuel exhonorated.

Ignorance with a sizeable dollop of sheer malice.

Deloony is a complete arsehead. Him and his nobhead mate nostrils Harris are seriously bringing down what is left of journalism to it's lowest ebb, they both clearly have an agenda that is nothing to do with sport and all to do with the colour of a person's skin.
Both racist to the bone. Both clueless about our owners. Both a pair of simple cunts who think they are a couple of activists when in reality they haven't got the foggiest about my club.

How the pair of them haven't been banned from our ground or given a bit of a warning from us baffles me.

Just another product of social media, shithouses hiding behind a keyboard.

Fully agree with this.

Delaney is allowing himself to be defined and completely consumed by the narrative he has created around this. He is a professional journalist but at the moment his behaviour and conduct is one of an activist.

It's a nuanced and complex issue but there should be a clear distinction between journalism and activism. Either way, Delaney is acting in an erratic and highly-emotional way so you have to worry that his professional life is affecting him personally.

When you look at the volume of tweets he sends, and also the times they are sent, it suggests very little boundary between his personal and work life. That simply can't be good for anyone's mental health no matter what job or sector you work in.
His best mate McKenna similarly and quickly went off the deep end into a thoroughly self destructive spiral of Ian Brown-style Covid denier conspiracy madness. This was not only indicative of an obsessive and delusional personality disorder which drove his ludicrous and defamatory campaign against City, but has rendered him even more unemployable than he already was.
At least he used to get sympathy commissions from his mates. Now he has fallen out with nearly all of them as well and is reduced to begging for spare change on Twitter and his barking at the moon blog.

He reminds me very much of the current position of the rags.
Both are on a downward spiral of increasing irrelevance and both are raging against those they see as the cause………City, Pep, and our owners.
Obsessive behaviour like this is unhealthy.

This dates back to the 1950's and before when the centre of pitches were mud heaps for most of the year.

Busby introduced the concept of all players getting behind the ball when losing possesion. That is part of "the United style" and not much different to Klopps philosophy.
As an additional piece of history, back in the 30s and 40s there was an Arsenal fan called Charles Reep that basically recorded as many stats as he could every time he went to a game.

Over nearly 20 years he found that there was only one statistic that correlated with goals and that was turnovers in the final third. When he put his info out there in the 50s teams adopted the kick and rush with the idea of get the ball up, and flood numbers in order to win the ball back high up.

Klopp's Liverpool is a very modern and relatively sophisticated version of a team that plans around this one statistic.
