Does anyone else find themselves listening to United podcasts to revel in their misery? I always listen to the bluemoon podcast, but after enjoying that I find myself more and more listening to the Athletic's United podcast straight after ... it's a thing of beauty. They are so depressed with the direction of their club. It's glorious.

I will never forgive their fans for how they were in the 90's/00's. They fully deserve all the relative pain they are experiencing (and let's face it, it's hardly the end of the fucking world. Five years without a trophy? Boo fucking hoo.)

They're well and truly screwed as a football club abd are a club ran on spreadsheets.

Their transfer strategy is to buy players who can generate SM interaction and based on value projection. They didn't sell Langard because his projected value in Summer exceeds his current value and is why they didn't seem him to the toon.

The Glazers aren't going anywhere because their valuation of the club is a ridiculously high amount which nobody in the world will stump up the cash for. Football clubs sell well below valuation, Southampton were only sold for circa £200m and Liverpool for cricket £700m. Nobody will ever pay £3bn for Utd. The Glazers aren't interested in trophies either, they're happy with top 4 to keep sponsors appeased. Yank owners still fail to grasp that PL isn't like the NFL. Teams can be relegated and there's no draft system to promote fairness.

Long may it continue, anybody (Howson, Goldbridge) who speaks as if Yoonited are a proper club are completely deluded.

What's also funny is, Ralph was brought in from a business perspective rather than a footballing one *check his previous board posts with Red Bull*

*I also thought that in the UK we didn't include players as assets or part of the valuation due to their contracts and risk of injury etc?

I must be cracking up because I thought that Lingardinho was out of contract in the summer, ergo no value to Untied on their books or otherwise?

I can just about remember our massive fall from grace mate, it didn't happen overnight but to my childlike recolection it went from buying Trevor Francis for a world record fee, and the hope of a new dawn, to getting tonked at Oldham every week

it could be the start of theirs

Never forget. I recall years ago we had a cup game postponed because of the Nottingham goose fair. A chap I still see fairly frequently took the piss big time. He was one of the most vocal non- goers around. The scum were in their pomp, with their game live on the TV and poor old City get bumped because of a fair.
I saw him whilst walking my dogs today and unusually stopped to engage him, asking him if it were true that kickoff of the scums game tonight had been moved coz of our Chumps Lge game.
He gave the most magnificent answer. He no longer follows football.
I revel in their demise. Revenge, however small minded and pathetic really is dish best served cold.

It's all very well these rag fuckers whinging about the state of things at the swamp, but they won't have a bad word said about the drunken despot whose greed and arrogance allowed the rot to set in in the first place.

For all you imbecilic plastics who look into this forum, Google the word 'karma.'
