We will win it stop worrying anyone would think we’re 3 points behind the way your arses are swaying
Well said. City win at Everton on Saturday and we're back to how we were this time yesterday with another fixture gone.

They beat Leeds for fuck's sake.

It's shocking how many cowards we have in our fanbase.

There is no way on Earth Liverpool will win every game between now and the rest of the season. Great, they've won 6 on the bounce against incredibly mediocre opposition. Despite that good run of form, we're still 3 points ahead.

If we do the business in our games we will be clear by the time we play them in April.

Since they went three games without winning in the league - drawing at Spurs, losing to Leicester and drawing at Chelsea they've subsequently beaten Brentford, Palace away, Leicester, Burnley away, Norwich and Leeds at home. That's 6 wins in the league against teams you'd expect them to beat. It's not threatening just yet. It's their second 6 game winning run in the league this season. Generally they've pieced together 2 or 3 tops before losing/drawing.

We did 15 wins in a row before the draw at Southampton. Spurs have always been a thorn in our side with the Kane/Son combination. We've got some tough games coming up, as do they but there's no reason to panic just yet. We're still top, we've still got a 3pt lead and with 12 games to go that's a good place to be. It would be nice to tie it up early and relax, but our greatest title wins have been those battles to the wire and so far we've come out on top every time it's been that situation.

We also have big-headed fans who declared the league done ages ago. Ironically, some fans don't know how football works: it's a low-scoring game and big surprises are possible. It's far from impossible that City or Liverpool win all their remaining games, even though it's not likely. But it wasn't likely that Wigan were going to beat the Centurions, and they did it. Taking what is highly probable as guaranteed to happen is foolish.

We are in a good position. As long as we are still 1st after the game with Liverpool, we'll be in a very good position.

If fans had been told before the start of the season that we'd be 3 pts clear in February after having played home and away Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs, Leicester and after having played at Anfield, most fans would have been happy to hear it, and rightly so.

Many City fans expected troubles, given we started the season without a recognized striker, didn't they? We should be more than satisfied with our current position. What worries fans is Liverpool's form. Recency bias is strong. And it was strong when people were saying the league was done. It was never done, and Liverpool's form may wane in April/May. Accept anything can happen and enjoy the race. Normally, City fight to the end and are excellent in tight races. Even if we drop points again over the next few games, it's highly likely that we'll hit form and perform well in the final 8-10 league games.

We should embrace this title challenge and enjoy it!

With more serious things going on in Europe it brings it in to context that it’s “only a game”

I’m going to enjoy all of the run in, even it’s painful.

Liverpool will not drop any points form now till the end of the season. Their squad depth has also increased with the new signings in January.

Everyone thought Liverpool will struggle without Salah and Mane but now it seems even without these 2 Liverpool have the depth to play and win games.

The best we can do now is win every game and draw against Liverpool at home cause they are on fire and we have wobbled a bit. If we drop any points from now till the Liverpool game then the league will be their's to win!
How are we going to get a draw if Liverpool don’t drop any points?

During that time we dropped 5 points against Southampton and fucking Spurs, Neither world beaters if the truth be told.
They are well capable of winning their remaining fixtures including god forbid at ours, as are we including that same fixture in April. the advantage is still ours but its a lot finer than it should have been. As bad as we defended saturday we were handed a lifeline that should have secured a valuable point, one that would negate any goal difference advantage come the end of the season.
We managed to fuck that up majestically.

Liverpool can get to 96 points by winning all their remaining matches. Which would mean they’d have won their last 18 matches, which hasn’t been done before. They are good form but helped by a run of nice fixtures and good luck (Palace away).

I think this season for Liverpool is a bit of a last dance as Henderson and Milner are reaching the end and there is considerable doubt about the future’s of Salah and Mané. Van Dijk hasn’t regained his pre- ACL injury form.

Last chance or not I have no doubt they will drop points before the end of the season. They also have to come to City where they haven’t won a league match since 2015.

City are still in the driving seat. Let’s face it we have gone through title races before and always finished top of the pile. Don’t forget this City side has had an amazing ability to put consistent runs together even under intense pressure. I have huge faith in our team to respond to the Spurs result with another positive run.

I think our next 2 fixtures are huge. Win both and the Liverpool giddiness will subside.

They dont think Milner is reaching the end, they have just given him a new contact.

Did one of those Premier League predictors trying to be as fair as possible & still had us winning it by 4/5 points. I think they have too much to do with their fixtures, I'll always back Pep & the boys to deliver in these high pressure scenarios regardless.
Absolutely. One thing to play the cynic at some point, but at some point you need to grow a pair and back Pep and the boys. Lot of points left to play for, and you don't get glory by chucking it all in in February because you drew and lost a game.

Those predictors are very accurate usually. I have been doing them for years and it's suprising how close you get to the final positions. I did one about a month ago and it showed Leeds going down which surprised me at the time but not now.

In recent times, can't recall us spunking away a lead before. Only in the 11/12 season when we were about 5 points ahead and then had a poor February/March. Of course, we still managed to win it. Other close title wins we were behind or level, 13/14 and 18/19 and 17/18 and 20/21 we were well clear and stayed clear.
Now, we see a 8 point lead reduced to 3 and it could be less by the time we play Liverpool at home. Basically, holding a big lead and then ending up losing the title is not something we have done before in this modern era.

I agree this could be their last dance

They are literally playing the bottom 7 in a row and mostly at home, if they win all their games in march I’ll be more afraid
They have had a very kind run of games, Burnley, Leicester, Brentford, Leeds and Norwich. They were fortunate to win at Palace who missed several gilt edged chances.

They should have been 3 or 4 down in the first half against Burnley. Maybe I will be proven wrong and they could win the title but they are certainly not the team that we pipped to the title by 1 point.

little bit nervous i can’t lie but i back pep and the boys. like someone else said, we don’t bottle titles, we’ve never had a lead and been caught before really. i’m confident the boys will do what needs to be done.
