China says they respect Ukraine sovereignty wow.
Think Zelensky has been seriously impressive throughout all of this.
West didsblueAnother one who hasn’t got a clue how NATO is funded.
The operational costs of NATO are funded proportionally to each members GDP and everyone contributes a fair amount.
What Trump was talking about was individual country’s defence budgets and was deliberately incorrectly conflating it with paying for NATO, then making out that everyone owed the US money. It was bullshit then and it still is. Some NATO members should undoubtedly spend more on their own defence, and they had committed to up their spending to 2% by 2024. I suspect that after this those countries will get their spending up rather quicker than they would have done.
A real leader.
The mad thing is, he’s not.
Until he actually got elected he was a comedian who was in a sitcom about someone who accidentally became President.
Then they actually elected him president.
Not a million miles from Boris really, when you think about it…

That’s not what you said.West didsblue
Gosh you’re an angry chappie aren’t you? In mid 2018 it was well reported that ‘Trump suggested that leaders increase their defense spending to 4% -- doubling the 2% target that many NATO countries have yet to meet.’
I wrote It’s the only thing he ever did or said that I agreed with. I stand by that and I’m not sure why subsequent put downs on my appreciation of NATO funding and Trump motives was really deserved.
No need for the condescension by the way. Makes you sound like a bit of a dick.IMB
Good post. The only thing Trump ever did or said that I agreed with was in 2018 when he pushed for NATO countries to increase their financial contribution to the organisation.

NATO members had agreed to spend 2% as far back as 2006 though, that was Trump’s problem and he was right to raise concerns.Another one who hasn’t got a clue how NATO is funded.

And why this disinformation outlet is allowed to operate in this country is another question
