Just doing a quick search, Marathonbet seems like one of those dodgy companies that it's hard to get information on. It's owned by Panbet Curacao, based in the Netherlands Antilles, presumably for dodgy tax reasons. And the current CEO studied at the Moscow Aviation Institute, so is presumably Russian. The previous CEO was called Hoffman, which is potentially Russian, but not necessarily. It's not beyond the realms of possibility, but I suspect your mate is talking out of his arse and knows as much as I do.

They're busy singling out NATO while at the same time criticising "the war" without seeming to be able to name Russia as the aggressors.

Sounds like a right pot trying to find a kettle, presumably only because Aeroflot has been struck off for United?

Perhaps ask him about the Saudi training centre, the Saudi sponsors, the warm weather training in UAE, the Chinese betting company HTH that has no presense, the Myanmar bank (iirc) etc.

This was an argument for buying gas from Russia. Mutually dependent trade makes war irrational and too costly.

The UN does quite a lot of good globally, it tends to only get hamstrung when the 5 permamnet members of the security council block stuff or interfere for personal intrests

Surprised Adolf Putin hasn’t brought Kaliningrad and the narrow corridor to Russia into the mix. Just to muddy the water a bit.
