Russian invasion of Ukraine

The translation is most likely off, but course it was an actual thing wtf you talking about lol.
i honestly don't believe a lot of the twitter stuff, there's tons of propaganda , all i see in that video is a staged event, a random car trying to be stopped by people in the streets who just happen to have a camera at the ready and lots of ukrainian flags, maybe its me being to cynical

The only hope I think is that Ukraine conceed something asap - enough for Putin to claim victory and back off before much more is destroyed.

I know its awful to conceed to bullies and tyrants but if I was there with kids I'd be thinking how futile all the brave resistence will have been a week after the rockets turn the street to rubble (like Syria). I'd want my kids to survive.

This was not an issue from 1949-2022 so why is it an issue now?
I don't understand? Ukraine was part of ussr from 50s to the 90s,then Russia took crimea in 2014. Its been a thorn in their side for a while. Putin is obsessed with it imo, especially after reading his shit about history of Ukraine /Russia.

But maybe it isn't just about nato, maybe Ukraine have minerals or other resources that Russia want too.

Evil Kinevil must have been hired to stand on the roof whilst they drove off.

Most of the world has a camera in their pocket right now, so I'm not sure why that comes as a surprise to you.

I wonder if Putin's "short term end game" is the two separatist regions.

The rest can wait a while.
Pre Putin's invasion I thought why not give Crimea back to Russia,
keep Ukraine out of NATO, being neutral and partly demilitarized,

BUT that would have only been able with strong Russian security guarantees to Ukraine.
This is not possible anymore.

Ukraine will never trust Russia again,
they don't want to be neutral,
they must be able to defend themselves,
now even stronger than before and
Crimea nor Donbass will fuck all be given to Russia. Free elections might be the fundament for a useful solution in those regions.

Putin has fucked up in a dimension no one thought would have been possible. I my own mind he ends up with his own pants on his head, publically and forever in the book of history.

The Russian forces are in old clapped out equipment. Their solders are conscripted and don't want to be their. A conventional Nato response would waste that army in a week. Putin is hiding behind his Nuclear weapons.

Yes but their nuclear capabilities are more advanced than NATO, it's where most of their r and d has gone.

I'm with you on this one mate, I can't seriously look at any video or news report without rubbing my chin and thinking it could just be staged or fake news or just outright propaganda.

The overriding fact however is that Putin is a **** of the highest order and whatever the media come out with wont change my mind that I am firmly on the side of the Ukranians.

But what is a win for Putin that Ukraine will accept?

They won't give up any of their sovereign territory, they want Crimea back as well.

Then Russia only has NATO and the EU to bargain with and Ukraine would be mad not to want to join those after all of this.
