BBC was interviewing lines of Black Africans & Asians on the Polish/Ukraine border who just wanted to get out and were being refused. Only reporting what the United Nations are saying too, We can't be selective on everything and if folk are being discriminated it needs to be addressed.

Ukraine accepted them into their education institutions so that they could improve themselves. It is now pay back time, they must stay and fight for Ukraine.

Sadly, at this point I think it seems more of a delay tactic, to keep the attention focused on that and not on the increased military activity and bit of a regrouping push on his part. Hope I'm wrong.

Not sure about that but if you are a Ukrainian Border Guard watching young fit Military aged men legging it you aren’t going to be too well disposed when you have an existential fight for survival of your homeland ahead of you

Well I saw people interviewed in the news today who said people were getting through with valid European passports regardless of race but they were fecing long queues. The main issues seem to be about having the right visas.

Your comment, it's shit for Ukraine but better than a nuclear war is fine except, you do not offer an alternative other than giving him what he wants. Today he wants Ukraine, what if tomorrow its another country, Poland even. When would you decide enough is enough ?

I didn’t realise a long protracted war with Ukraine, with massive losses and eventual withdrawal (which is what I suggested might happen), would be classed as giving him what he wants?

Poland are a NATO country. Putin is chancing his arm with Ukraine (and losing a significant chunk of it as well as bankrupting his country) annexing a country that isn’t in NATO. He might well try to annex Poland, but I suspect that isn’t a risk he’d take. Maybe we should cross that bridge if it comes to it though, rather than risking wiping us all out over what Putin might do.

Realistically I would have thought Ukraine accepted them into their education institutions because they paid overseas student fees i.e. it is a commercial transaction not some form of proxy citizenship.
