To those knowledgeable about FFP....

Abrahamovich 'loaned' money to Chelsea, amounting to a reported £1.5bn. It turns out this is now a gift as he will not be asking for this back. If this is the case, should this not be considered as the owner injecting funds into the club? Thus, surely meaning they would have failed FFP for multiple seasons.

I do hope City look into this and maybe our board could write to the PL and UEFA asking for an investigation? After all, Chelsea are one of the hateful eight.

I would imagine the loans would just be converted into capital, so it won't affect anything.

The funds were injected into the club each time the money was loaned, so that has already been taken into account.

Some clown called into Shelagh Fogerty's programme on LBC yesterday and said, at one point, "Manchester City are owned by Qatar" when seeking to draw some moral equivalence between us and Abramovic's ownership of Chelsea. Guess what? That assertion wasn't challenged by the host or any of the so-called experts on the dial-in. Given such wilful ignorance across the popular media, is it any wonder the average football fan is so ready to believe the lie that we're owned by a murderous nation state purely for the purposes of sportswashing human rights abuses?

As an owner I would think he`s been pretty well up there with the best regards football, clubs and their owners.

Surely it would be more efficacious if all these Russian billionaires had the carrot of their assets being handed back to them once the ‘Putin problem’ was satisfactorily and conclusively ‘resolved’.

Roman will now sell the club for say £2 billion rather then the 3

the £2 billion is sanctioned and Chelsea are free from sanctions

The billion saved by the new owners can be put towards a new stadium
