I think it would make better sense to cash in and reinvest the money. If they give Salah the money, Van Dijk will then be knocking on the door wanting more. This is their probably way of publicly saying we may listen to offers.

They hate us more than United.

Got talking to a United fan in work. Then a person from head office joined the conversation. I always thought he was either a United or Liverpool fan as he's from from Eire or Northern Ireland. You know the type of person I mean. As the conversation continued he blurted out he hated United, but hated City more. I don't know if he knew I was a City fan, but I told him I was, and asked him why he hated City more than United? Before he could answer, I said.... "Was it because City have stopped Liverpool winning the PL on 3 separate occasions recently?" He said.... "Yes". I would assume he probably speaks for the vast majority of Liverpool fans. He then went to say Liverpool will win the PL title as they have the winning mentality and toughness to overcome City this season. I just smiled at him.

you know well that KDB Aguero etc were getting something off the books as well as their regular wages. Aguero of 2011-2017 does not stay at a club who dont have a sniff of European success without some enticement

Always amuses me, this one. They might win it this year, but if they do it will be against the prevailing narrative of recent history. They’ve never won a PL title coming from behind after Christmas. We have done so on four occasions in the last decade. Three times at their direct expense.

You know what, I’m remarkably not fussed about this.

The biggest loser in this will be Salah if he goes.

Players come and go, Salah’s great, but meh. I’d be far more concerned about Vvd or Trent going.

I hope those ( dippers) don't fxxk up before we play them.
I don't want anyone to burst their dreams until we get them on the pitch.
Watched them against West Ham and Brighton yesterday and despite what the media roll out they are decent but not outstanding.
I so want city to do the damage in league and cups, only reason I don't want them in a final is the media will spin it to plucky losers.

The reason I don’t want them - or the rags, or Chelsea - in the CL is that our record against English teams in European competition is atrocious.

True , how Spuds and Chelski beat us is a mystery going off league form we should have battered both of them as for the Dippers they bring their own referee for european games , which makes it tough.
