It's not tactics that was wrong tonight. It's 100% that we don't have a player that is instinctive in front of goal.

Goals can come from everyone in the team but when it comes down to very thin margins in a game you need a finisher a striker who just wants to score, who can get on the end of balls into the box.

Foden is an amazing player but he does not have a striker instinct, that can't be taught. Haaland or Kane tonight wins that for us with a couple of goals.

We have incredible creative players. Just a ruthless finisher is the missing piece.

Tonight reminded me a lot of the Southampton game very early in the season. Just pure frustration and too many poor individual performances. Cant knock the overall effort but some players had shockers tonight and there was a lack of real quality. Both games highlighted why you do need a real finisher in the side.

I know it’s only realistic we are going to drop points now and again, it’s part of the game, you have to accept that but at least let teams truly earn the points. There’s really no excusing some of the players tonight. We dropped two points because we were poor, not because Palace were good.

Bollocks nothing like Southampton game where we had no chances and tonight we missed open goals

Agree but Raz & Jesus should be on at 75 mins for me. We had nothing to lose in my opinion. 3 points were vital tonight not 1

I keep seeing a lot of people talking about how good palace were defensively but a decent striker would've scored a hat trick with the chances we created tonight. It was more a story of chances we've missed than palace stopping us

It wasn’t for the lack of effort, just wasn’t our night in the end. We run the risk of this type of result without a striker. In fact I’m amazed we’ve got this far without one. It’s incredible really.

Why don’t Liverpool face the same thing? It’s like teams only set up to stop us but try to play against them, leaving themselves open to conceding.

They do, they have strikers who can finish chances

We must have the worst convertion rate in the league

Thats why we need a striker. Haaland or Kane would have won us the game tonight. But we don't have one so the boys need to sharpen up for the remaining 9 games. Game on with Liverpool now and they have the momemtum and the form.

A little bit shakey in defence, Laporte and Cancelo not at their best. Some nice play in the middle third but woeful finishing which is very disappointing. We could and should have scored at least three goals and that would not have flattered us. We definitely need a striker, someone with that killer instinct. Can't complain about the team, I was happy enough when I saw who was starting, not sure why Pep didn't make any changes though. Still at the top but we are starting to drop a few points.

I don't know about that, but anyone thinking we can continue to play shite and that Liverpool will just hand it to us, is absolutely dreaming.

We have to see a step change in our standards of play, starting right now, or we can forget the title.

i remember in the aguero year us scraping a draw against sunderland that we were deflated about but actually won us the title.today we battered them but missed chance after chance,were still playing good footy we just need our luck to change

It has been in their hands ever since we lost to Spurs. They were 3 behind after games in hand and would more than likely have the better goal difference if they were to beat us. They have won every league game so far whilst in that situation, scoring 8 and conceding 0.
