I've seen him in a couple of pubs in Didsbury over the years. He seems to have very small arms in proportion to the rest of his body.

Bit like a fat T-Rex.....

totally get what you're saying but there are occasions where exceptions can be made.

He (Maguire) is a very substandard international player.
As such he does not deserve to be there.
He in all honesty is not in good enough form to be playing for United stiffs at the moment never mind his national team.
He should never have been selected
Oh and he plays for that lot, which I reckon, is the most hated team in the Premiership, the huge majority of football fans that don't support them, hate them.

Like I said, for me there are acceptable exceptions.

He had one good tournament - the rags spent a bomb on him which elevated him to pundits and commentators darling hence he gets a game for England. I'd put him at Mings level but would pick Mings over him on current form because he is bobbins

Why can't it be read as expressing disgust that a crap fridge is being picked instead of trying a footballer in his place? The boos are aimed at Southgate as much as Slabby

I’m not a fan of the England team and didn’t see the game last night. I never liked the hype around the team and can’t be doing with the fans.

When I heard about the fans booing Maguire, it just sums it up for me. This could quite easily be Walker or Sterling or anyone else.

It doesn’t matter if he shouldn’t be in the team, on form, at the minute. He doesn’t pick the team. The second most successful English manager did.

what does his form for the rags have to do with an england fan that supports oxford.

what did sterling joining city have to do with anyone who isnt a liverpool fan? Or grealish joining city anything to do with anyone who isnt a villa fan? But other fans still boo.

too many fans dont have the mental capacity to think for themselves so follow the suns/internet in general narrative

Boos should be reserved to players being cruel to cats etc. Not because a player is crap.

It reflects bad on English football culture.... again.

Even the paper airplanes are disrespectful imo.
