Grealish has had a pasting all season from all sides. Sterling (and before him other black players) have had loads of stick. Seems odd from southgate to "make a stand" on this tbh. It was odd booing someone in a home international though, but it's probably happened before.
The sad thing is that Grealish and Sterling were being booed by fans of other clubs. Maguire was probably being booed by rags. There's no way I'd boo him given the performances he's been putting in for them this season. Shite for the rags but not let England down. That's the perfect player.

It's as though, he's told what to do and how to do it for England... and the opposite for United...

Keep calm and carry on Mr EasterIsland.

I think booing any player is wrong BUT the moral outrage over this is beyond belief.
When the rags played Atletico and Maguire was subbed off, the swamp cheered.
If someone can tell me what is different I am all ears.

I do not rate him, but he seemed ok with England, however his form at the swamp and away games has gone to the shitter since the the love GOD turned up.
Glad we passed on that bullet.

Boos should be reserved to players being cruel to cats etc. Not because a player is crap.

It reflects bad on English football culture.... again.

Even the paper airplanes are disrespectful imo.
Or can't drink 10 pints of Joe'y Holts and do a 7 dart finish on a Manchester board , We want more ;-)

The booing of maguire once again proves that most football fans are fuckin morons.

On the topic of abuse:

A TEENAGER HAS been jailed for six weeks for racially abusing Marcus Rashford on Twitter after the Euro 2020 final, the UK’s Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has said.

Justin Lee Price, 19, of Grandison Gardens, Worcester, was sentenced today at Kidderminster Magistrates’ Court in Worcester.

He directed a slur at the 24-year-old Manchester United striker after England’s defeat in a penalty shoot-out against Italy last summer.

The tweet, posted on 11 July, read: “@SzzOGz @MarcusRashford YOU F****** STUPID N***** MISSING A FREE PEN MY DEAD NAN COULD HAVE SCORED THAT”, according to a CPS official.

sam smiths in the stinking stocking eccles and a manchester board they also had a yorkshire board which had no trebles
A Manchester board didn't have trebles either, it was all black whereas the Yorkshire board was coloured like a normal one.
AND wasn't a m/cr board made out of a solid piece of a tree not your poncy paper stuff ?

You're clearly no more than a biased, jealous blue. We all know that the Stretford end is peopled by the fairest, most generous fans in the world (known to scholars as Stretford End man) and their cheering was a sign of consideration, support and empathy for a club captain who may have made mistakes but had never stopped giving his all for the club he grew up supporting and which he loves. He is, after all, one of their own (well, since leaving Leicester).
