I could half see a front 3 of Sterling, De Bruyne and Mahrez before I made my predictions but I didn't think he'd leave Foden out.

I’d imagine Sterling and Mahrez are in because they can beat a man from standing and Gundogan not only has the ability of the impeccably time third man run but also gives us more control in the middle.

Actually, it's not a bad lineup, because you can put anyone in the first 3 and there's no problem. Obviously Sterling played so well in the last game that he deserved to play today. Foden not starting... well there's gundo he's a good player too.

Ake over zinchenko is fine, didn't expect it because I didn't think he would risk all our centre back options. Just hope that's ake left back and everybody else in their natural positions, if he sticks stones right back then has two left footed centre backs and a rigtt footed left back its going to skew our line, get as many players in their real positions and it'll be fine.

Midfield and attack is what I expected except for Sterling over foden. Sterling's in better form in truth so that's no great surprise but I don't think there will be any space for sterling, especially on the left where he will insist on cutting in and refuse to go down the line. Fodens technical ability would have been better suited to start imo with sterling a better option off the bench.

Two slight eyebrow raises but nothing batshit mental. Get the job done blues!

A little shocked to see Phil benched, but can see why, Gundogan will control the tempo alongside Rodders and Bernardo had to start…. Kev will get a good few chances tonight with the water carriers in behind, wouldn’t be at all surprised to see him knock a couple in with that set up..

Nah, that would be disastrous for our build up as two left footed CBs would skew our back line.
