Just a quick mention that the Unite Unions office has been raided by the cops. Allegations of corruption regarding their new hotel, (why do they need a hotel ?)
It seems the contracts for the work went to their mates. It has so far cost 98 million isn't finished but when it is, it won't be worth anywhere near that.

Unions were once the most important organisations for workers, we wouldn’t have the working [and thus living] conditions we have now without them.

But their success has almost made them unneeded over the last few decades.

They also are not the same entities they used to be. Some/many of them are a waste of time, people wouldn’t know any different for the rest of their working life if their union dissolved. Lots of workers in jobs that have unions, aren’t even in a union and they’ll never need to be.

I think there’s even more of a place for unions since Brexit as the fuck wits in charge will try to erode rights and shit on people as much as possible. I may not always agree with everything my union does but I’d rather be in it than out. And if your a Scab you are a twat.

There will always be a need for a well run union, one that works for the benefit of all employee's.

And then you get the mixed feelings: "told you so", "sorry can't help as you were not a member when the incident occured" or "I'm so sorry to hear that but you changed your terms and conditions through your own actions"
and then, well I shall see what I can do, usually after the horse has bolted.
There will always be a place for a Union as managers just simply cannot help turning into wankers.

Fair does but my point still stands, it isn't about Brexit, it is about a decent unions, and lets be right, working with good management, to give workers a date deal.
