Wouldn’t be surprised if the dippers suffered a few shock dropped points in the next 3 or 4 games, leaving us to stroll to the title

I saw a few little signs there today that they could be running out of steam
Hope so

quite simple this is.

they either win 7 or win 6 plus a draw.

thats 94 points or 92.

we cannot do 94 points. so we either win all 7 and finish on 95 points and then no questions asked.

or we win 6 , draw one, finish on 93, and hope they drop 1 game somewhere in there.
or we win 6, lose one, hope GD somehow will favour us if we both end up on 92 which I doubt unless we stuff Watford and Brighton both with 5-6 goals at least.

they just won 10 out of 10 games before today, conceding two goals, and even we could not beat them despite dominating them for 75 min. what makes people think lot lesser teams than City will magically turn up and stand up to the and make them lose points? they wont. and some think Everton of all team and United will hurt them?
I expect 6 points and +8 goal difference for Pool in their next two games vs United, Everton. Benfica will put up a better fight in CL from 3-1 down then Lampard and Wreck it Ralph.

take into account the teams mentality vs them and vs City. they often play for their life against us. lok at Soton 2x in PL. watch what they let Chelsea to do to them yesterday. 0-6 vs a team that was fighting, defending, pressing for their life when it came to City. they repeat their Chelsea game vs Soton trust me.

if we cannot win 6 at least, no point of calculating, there will be no title. 5-2-0 would get us to 91p, which is nice but not enough this season for the title.

I can see one draw for them maybe against Spurs, but only if Sone and Kane can do a magic game against them. they did get points off of them but was a lucky game due to Kane got away with a possible red while twat Robertson got a red. but at least Spurs stood up to them. Conte probably hates Klopp too.
they have that game right after they play 2nd leg of CL semis vs possibly Bayern while Spurs may have a full week of relaxing there.

but the lucky bastards might get Villarreal while we play 2x vs Real M.

In order of difficulty I rank our remaining fixtures

Wolves A
West Ham A
Villa H
Newcastle H
Brighton H
Leeds A
Watford H

Looking at Liverpool's, I think Spurs at home is the only one where they have real potential to drop points during the run in, maybe Newcastle away. Whether we win the league will depend whether we can win 7 league games in a row now imo.

The 3 away games look like potential banana skins to me, against 3 teams in good form. The home games on paper look a bit more straight forward, but who knows.

Personally, i see us dropping 4-6 points between now and the end of the season.

I expect the next two home games to be over by half time
Fast start and finish them off.
Hopefully once Watford are out of the way the rest of the teams will be on the beach

Ideal scenario regarding the West Ham game is that they reach the Europa League final which becomes the be all and end all of their season (first trophy in decades plus CL qualification). They won’t be too interested in playing us or anyone else if that happens.

Hadn't actually noticed Leeds change in form was quite as good as it is tbh. Might need to revisit that list lol.

I’m hoping by the time we play some of these teams, most won’t have anything to play for. I think that scenario is a realistic possibility. Leeds should be safe, Watford are shite anyway, Wolves will be out the running for Europe and as much as I like West Ham, I hope they aren’t fighting for europa because that will be the hardest game. Liverpool big game is Spurs at Anfield, but Spurs always seem to bend over for them, despite the form Son and Kane are in they’ll still get slapped.

Win the next 7, treat every league game as a cup final.

Luckily our 2 hardest games; West Ham and Wolves away might not have much on the line when we get to them.

The pressure is on now and our lads know what they need to do to be Champions.

Luckily it's Brighton and Watford at home next (after the 2 big games). Liverpool have United and Everton.

We can do this...let's knock them out of the FA Cup and qualify for the CL semis first.

So the 4 home matches take care of themselves.
That leaves Leeds, West Ham & Wolves away, the latter either side of the fa cup final, if we win on Saturday. I suppose what I’m getting at, is a loss on Saturday would still have a (very small) silver lining for me.
All 3 of those away games we’ll need to be full on it.

Away games.

Hopefully Leeds are done? Nothing to play for. Bottom 3 gone.

Same with West Ham and Wolves. CL gone.

Get on the beach you...

At least it's still in our hands.

We're going to have to be super clinical in our remaining games and try to kill teams off as early as possible. That's going to be difficult though with Champions League and FA Cup games in the mix but Liverpool are in the same situation.
Scousers high defensive line was all out of sink today and if (*big if) Kane and Son can continue in their rich vein of form then they will cause them problems. Apart from Spurs can't see any other potential dropped points.

Mmm not quite
Burnley 9 behind Leeds but 2 games in hand
Personally I think that bottom 3 will go down, Everton not quite out of it but I think they will stay up.
Leeds probably need 1 more win, West Ham and Wolves still vying for europa spots so can't say all the teams we still face are on the beach
That said the home games on paper are friendly to us.

Yep the Leeds one is tricky and west ham could be.

I think Leeds probably need one more result but will be targeting other games for it. Personally can’t see it being difficult for you.

7 straight wins for us that, it’s what we do in a final straight under Pep when we need to.

Now would he a great time for Manchester United to get one of their world famous draws.

I think the FA cup semifinal will have a big psychological impact. They got away with not being 4 points behind today, and we both know it. If we beat them, asserts that.
