1. If they did nothing what would you say then ?
2. Wrong.

Don't get me wrong, it's good it was organised, but it was done in a smart way so as nobody could spoil it.

From what people have said at Wembley, a lot of the problems with the minutes silence were City fans coming to their seats and genuinely not knowing a silence was happening.

That couldn't happen with the applause for Ronaldo as it was in the 7th minute, so the majority were already in their seats. Also, for any who were late or didn't know about it, well there's suddenly just applause and the fans singing Liverpool's song, so just join in.

And if anyone was going to be disrespectful, because of the applause and singing it would not be noticed.

And if I'm wrong about point 2, it's only because the lyrics of the song are different. Call me cynical if you like, but it all doesn't deserve quite the gushing praise its getting.

Anyway. If we want to talk football... Liverpool have got a great side at the moment, I can't see them dropping any points til the end of the season. Think we'll need no more injuries and maximum points.

Who is making the decisions on this manufactured controlled display of grief forced on fans?

It is bizarre that their fitness has not gone downhill yet despite that Flop does not rotate the team and their main forwards ran themeselveses into the ground in AFCON, WC play off and both of them fast in Ramadan ! Either it won’t be long before they get knackered or they are taking performance enhancing drugs !

I'm calling they will drop points in at least one match.

Liverpool Hubris will bring them down again.

Always look on RAWK after our games for entertainment. This is one of the best posts i've ever read.

And I can understand that if certain journalists or publications don't want to say something about City because they're afraid of their lawyers, then that's one thing. But Rory Smith - in my opinion - goes way overboard on going the other way and trying to apologise for them and claim they're as legitimate as anyone else.

Up the lisbon lyons, porto pussycats, Abu Dhabi sportwashers!

Ssssshhhhh.....they are asthma medications....

Putting my cynical hat on. Was the minutes applause for Ronaldo the perfect chance to show the world how Liverpool show respect in comparison to disrespectful City?
Also is it not disrespectful to sing a club anthem over the minutes applause
It is just convenient that the lyrics contain 'alone'

Haaland's limbs to turn into spaghetti when he joins these fingers crossed
Unfortunately, that would set many other teams back - but these would just spend another boatload on the next big thing the following season. And the authorities would let them.

For instance, they spent a fortune on Claudio Bravo, who was an utter clown for them, only to spend another fortune on Ederson to "get it right." Imagine if Alisson was below par for us after the money invested in him - we'd have to persist or pursue a cheaper option to lessen the mistake. It'd be a disaster for a properly managed club.

====================================================================================================

so we spent a fortune on Bravo, and another fortune on Eddy... and yet managed to spend 25% less for the pair of them than they paid for a keeper with the distribution skills of Richard Dunne!

Darren England on Var yet again for them v Everton (Atwell ref). How is 1 official (England) appointed on so many of their games. Imagine they will do the usual re card offences and pick up a booking after the 3rd one with Dipper England not telling the ref to look at it again
As I said previously, seems to be Tierney and England are their go to cheats for the run -in. Trying to recall if any contentious VAR call has ever gone against them, especially at anfield?
