What makes the media and rag fans think an average manager with reasonable but unspectacular experience in the weak Dutch league will transform a Europa league standard side into title contenders?

Rags will still finish between 4th and 10th for the next few seasons, that’s their level these days.

The dippers were working from a low base, but nowhere near as fucked as the rags.

You need the players to do that and they simply haven't got them.
Even with a mass clearout and new signings it will take them a long time.

Best thing about this is united fans refreshed sense of arrogance, we get to enjoy them mouthing off at how they're going to conquer the world with a B team Pep in charge before it all comes tumbling down once more. Its more enjoyable this way, it gets a bit stale when their entitled fans accept that they're shit.

Couple of seasons of absolute chaos beckons in my opinion, how many of their players can play good football? Varane could cope, maybe Sancho and that's it. It's going to be hilarious watching maguire fuck up ten times more than he has done this season. Bruno Fernandes the guy that gives the ball away more than anybody else in the league as their main man in midfield equally as funny.

if they ride it out and continue to spend copious amounts on the most expensive squad ever assembled they might get something resembling a competent side in 3/4 years but I doubt united will wait that long.
 
Fuck the rags. A club that started out as irrelevant, received huge financial benefits courtesy of Sky/extremely contentious refereeing decisions and total and utter adulation from combined press departments, had a bit of success and have now returned back to the obscurity from whence they came.

I would rather chew the contents of Dot Cotton's drawers than even think about the rags.
 
Lol they are deluded. They honestly believe he’s their saviour. He’s the latest PR stunt to detract from Liverpool game.

This guy will not know what’s hit him with the so called expected Utd way. Premier league pressure & media in this country.

Half this squad know they are gone so they will stop playing even more so from this point!

Champs league just went out of the window for sure. Ridiculous time to announce a new manager.
