Russian invasion of Ukraine

I just listened to the mayor of mariupol announce that another 200 civilians are being bussed out of Mariupol this afternoon, 100 yesterday and a few thouand in the last few days. They're hoping to get up to 6,000 out if the agreement keeps standing, which it has so far. Those are real people, being let out. Alive.

Having unfortunately read a lot of your posts I am fairly confident I have a more informed view of the war than you.
Nice edit as per usual with you

Germany is in mourning for the death of its two decade old Russian policy and struggling to come to terms with the fact it turned out to be a strategic mistake.

Even worst, it turned out that the Eastern Europeans were right all along.

Germany is always reluctant to change course - nimble footed it is not - but bashing them repeatedly over the head is the only way to get them to move. They’ll get there in the end, though.
Ostpolitik is more than 50 years old.

Been a while since I've seen a Russian helicopter taken out - One for the Russian military family album

Nothing is ever going to top that one from the first fortnight of the war where the camera was at 90 degrees to the helicopter and got everything in perfect HD as the missile was fired, hit, and then the crash.

That’s going to get reused in documentary and stock footage for decades.
