Erling Haaland

There are so many debates on here and other places about Haaland potentially disrupting our style or that it could take him a while to settle in the side, but i think what we have to look at is how we played against Liverpool at the Etihad. We were more direct, looking to get in behind, and Haaland would pretty much come in as the centre forward in that team where Sterling played. We still dominate games with Sterling up top and i would think that Haaland's hold up play would be better than his, as it can bounce off Raz a bit at times.

I also think Haaland is a bit unfairly criticised in this area and if you remember back to the home leg against Dortmund it was a great pass round the corner from Haaland to set up Marco Reuse. We wont be unbeatable, of course not, but i think the confidence of having a finisher in the side will have general uplift effect on the rest of the team.

His account dates back to 2015 lol. I am not making him feel small, I’m just clarifying an information, things are on regular course. Stop misinterpreting everything I post and calling me names
True, his previous post in 2015 was "why is sterling deal taking so much time ?", man's always been eager

nobhead you lad. guy has just made an account, says he’s excited about a deal and is just trying to gain some information on a forum full of like minded people. no need to scrutinise or make him feel small
this guy's inability to show any modicum of respect to any person in this forum is astonishing

account is old i agree but i don't come here often.
No problem. Join in and get the answers you want. In this particular case, just don’t think things are taking long, they’re following the regular course. After the season ends is when announcements should be expected

I can understand why you ask. Lukaku.

No team is unstoppable. And not many City fans think that way.

Will he make us better? I’d like to think so. And that’s because hardly any player we get in fails to get better. Although some need a season.

Yeah, big money strikers fitting into the team is a sore subject for me :)

I've always pictured a more agile, nimble striker being a better fit for City. Not many of them around anymore at a truly elite level, and Haaland is nowhere near as poor and lacking in technical ability as Lukaku. I was just kinda thinking out loud.

There's no such thing as unstoppable but he will make us better, yes. Different, but better. Probably less fluid in attack but more deadly.

When we played Dortmund he was terrifying, you have to pay so much attention to him.

Yeah he just always struck me as a player who thrives in a counter attacking set up. With City being the team that controls possession the most in this league, it's going to be interesting to see how he fits into that system. Perhaps we might not even see the best of him until his second season at the club. It does seems like your players sometimes have to go through a season of acclimatising and learning Pep's football before lighting up the league in year 2.

If he signs, I think he'll definitely be better in his second season
