Fans like you? I’m a passionate fan and vocal. You sound like a fan from our stiff fanbase. You’ve also made an excuse for how quite we were today. What’s the Watford support got to do with us lot making a noise? Absolutely nothing.

i remember as a kid in the 1970's us in the kippax shouting " part time supporters,part time supporters " as the platt lane emptied early.

i just dont get it personally

i live local ,5 to 6 miles from.house to stadium and walk and only use public transport,still.takes 90 minutes

such an important game today,come through with flying colours and the team saw at best 30% of the crowd in the ground at the end

I don’t think it helps when we go into energy conservation mode rather than chasing more goals, like we did for the last half hour today.
Hard to ask the fans to be arsed when the players and management clearly aren’t

Bored to tears!!!?? The game is won, most players out there are carrying knocks or have just come back from injury and we play two games a week for the next three weeks, every game a must win. Come on fella?! Also, as good as the narrative sounds, it won’t come down to goal difference. If we don’t win our remaining league fixtures, Liverpool win the league…even if we had put 10 past Watford today.

If you were bored to tears today then you either haven’t supported City for long or you need a prescription for high dose Sertraline sharpish!

Atmosphere is what it is in games like today, when we score in the first few minutes against second bottom who we routinely smash and stroll through the game, it's hard to get pumped up for it. if you think it's any different at Anfield or Stamford Bridge or old Trafford 10 years ago when they were relevant you'd be wrong.

The mass exodus before the whistle however is embarrassing, other clubs don't have that issue we have. The players deserve appreciation and they all regularly stay on the pitch and do a mini lap themselves usually to a half empty crowd. Its funny how nobody is desperate to get home after a Derby win or during the Liverpool match, nobody will be in a dash to the exits against villa if we manage to win the league, they only ever need to get out when we aren't playing a game with stakes as high as those.

A lot of grounds are poor...Anfield has had many many quiet times as has the swamp..its magnified for us though as the media and social twitfuk are all over it. It really doesn't help us much though as it is a factor in attracting best players and extending best manager conttacts.....singing would be a great two fingers up to the biased media

I went a couple of minutes early today which is rare for me but I was dying for a slash and it took me 50 mins to get home instead of the usual 90+ so I can maybe see the appeal in leaving early if the game is dead.

Atmosphere is great. Anfield is a graveyard after they sing you'll never work again. South stand is really good and I am sat miles away.

The ridiculously upset posters on here slagging off other blues are either covert dippers / rags or simply just don’t understand atmosphere at football matches and probably spend evenings at home wanking off to soundtracks of Crystal Palace or Bayern Munich games thinking that a 90 minute irrelevant relentless dirge constitutes a good atmosphere.

It was ok today, too many songs about the rags and too few songs about players but still a decent atmosphere for what football is in 2022.

The atmosphere is no better or worse than most other grounds in the Premiership. If Liverpool were hammering a team on the verge of going down, Anfield would be no different. It’s just a lot of our fanbase are sensitive to the stick we take.
The early leavers are an embarrassment though.

Two fellas next to me spent 85 minutes slagging off Grealish, moaning in general and didn’t join in one song. And that’s in the south stand standing area. I don’t care if these fuckers have supported City for 50 years, used to do every home and away, spent decades on the Kippax or whatever, we have far too many whingeing old cunts turning up out of habit who have no clue that this is the best football they’ve ever seen or will ever see. We‘d be better off without them and I wish they’d just fuck off.

I do agree that it's amazing how many fans you hear moaning at City. If you can't be happy with what we've been truly privileged to witness at City over the past decade, then you never will be.

I appreciate that fans of my vintage had about 30 years of getting used to moaning & expecting the worst ... but things are very different now. Enjoy it while you can !

This here & now is undoubtedly the golden era of being a City fan - incredible stuff is happening regularly before our very eyes !

Yes they have. Brentford were loud at the Etihad, and they normally create a good atmosphere at home.

You're right. They don't. Because they can't be bothered. But when they do, it's loud.

Sadly, Jesus has never had a decent chant, and one that has caught on. Jesus has been in and out of the team, so that hasn't helped him regarding a chant. He deserved a stadium chant today, never mind a SSL1 chant, which frustratingly was very muted. If Sergio had scored 4 goals today his chant would have been continuous and around the ground.

It’s not that they can’t be bothered, because they do join in with City chants. Every time Blue Moon or TBTITLAATW goes up the whole ground joins in.

But City chants are so rarely sung (at City games FFS, I can’t even believe I’m saying this!) the rest of the ground often sits in silence because there’s no interest in players chants. When you’re in the Singing area, I don’t think you really grasp how the rest of the ground are not really interested in player chants at all.

Blast out “Oh Man City, the only football team to come from Manchester” on Tuesday (which I don’t reckon we’ve sung since the takeover) you watch how many join in compared to a song about a player who isn’t even on the pitch which 90% of the crowd haven’t got a clue what the words are.
