Perhaps, although Barca were speaking to Raheem less than six months ago and also asked about taking him on loan in January, so the interest has been longstanding.

If they could get a name like Sterling, along with a £15m balancing payment for De Jong, Barca could well be tempted to do the deal, regardless, certainly in terms of getting FDJ wages off their wage bill and paying Sterling less.

I’d 100% do a Sterling + Gundo swap for FDJ.

If this proves to be a no-go then it might be worth taking a look at Orkun Kokcu at Feyenoord. Really like what I've seen from him this season both domestically and in Europe and I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up being a big player for a big club in the next year or so.
